Chapter 45 - The Shadows Of April

You've never been to a wedding. Regardless, you were the star of your own and attendance was mandatory.

Your anxiety rose with every new guest arriving and your heart pounded in your chest. It was going by so fast. Soon enough you'll be married to the love of your life and having another one of his children.

If it didn't make matters worse, you two were getting married in April, the time you were just about eight months pregnant. No wonder you felt sick every minute.

Your baby seemed to want more attention than you on your big day. Which was fine because you didn't need all the attention. If anything you needed less of it. The baby made sure you knew it was in there thrashing about and wanting nothing but to be in the spotlight. For now you ignored the pains. You had to if you wanted everything to go according to plan.

Yukino was like your temporary mother today and along with the overbearing attitude, she was constantly in your face with plans. She actually seemed more nervous about the big day than you were.

Once she got you ready you waited for her to bring over your Sabertooth family. You all needed to take pictures for the big day and you had to admit, sitting here just waiting hurt like Hell. You were so scared. Your nerves were nervous and your palms were sweaty. You promised Yukino you wouldn't cry, sweat, or do anything to ruin your makeup. You also promised Minerva you wouldn't ruin the dress you and her spent hours planning with Erza.

The planning was fun of course, but when it was all unraveling before you, it was terrifying.

Peeking through the window curtains you watch as every dressed-up guest comes in with their gifts and smiles. Your Fairy Tail friends were as rambunctious as always and your other guests were just the audience for their banter.

Their arguing surprisingly put you more at ease.

Their guild had just disbanded but your closest comrades in the guild came to congratulate you anyway. However, Natsu and Happy wouldn't be attending. They went on a trip when the guild disbanded and no one's heard from them since. You noticed how happy Lucy was seeing everyone but you could tell she was missing some of the members who couldn't make it.

Erza was definitely in attendance. She was the one who got you here in the first place. Your talk on the vacation made you realize that living in the now with the ones you loved was more important than worrying about the future and what could go wrong.

She was your hero.

You hoped she could be as happy as you were someday. She deserved a loving husband and a wedding. Knowing her, you knew she'd get that. Who could resist a beautiful girl like that?

"(Y/N)?" You're taken away from your thoughts at the sound of the door opening behind you. Yukino entered in with your family right behind her. "Ready to take pictures?" She smiled.

You froze as your dashing husband came in with his traditional black kimono and a loving smile. His hair was put up and alongside him was a beautifully dressed Hikari and a handsomely dressed Kage in her arms. She insisted on taking care of him today to show her helping hand in the wedding.

Sting was in a black tux, Rufus was in a red trench coat, Orga was attempting to wear a white tux, Minerva was in a dark purple knee-length dress, and Yukino was in a lovely knee-length light blue dress. Everyone looked amazing! Especially Lector and Frosch in their little suits.
