If it wasn't one thing, it was another. That always seemed to be the dilemma when it came to fights between you and Rogue. It's been happening a lot since that letter from Fairy Tail. You didn't think it would be this much of an issue, but Rogue sure made it a bigger issue than needed. If you weren't going to stay with the kids, you sure as Hell weren't going to help Fairy Tail.

THAT was Rogue's argument.

Your argument was that if you weren't going, Rogue wasn't going, not matter how much Sting needed him. You were Rogue's soul mate (his words) so in reality, you were more his partner than Stings. You were willing to fight Sting about that.

You were just about ready to fight Rogue too. He was getting dressed and still arguing with you about whether or not you were going with them to Fairy Tail.

Rogue put his hair up and kept blabbing on with his side of the argument. "(Y/N), you are not coming with us, remember the last time we fought along with Fairy Tail? I all but lost you!"

"Let's not forget why! I can help you and keep your shadow from taking over!" You shouted back. Your poor children were downstairs probably hearing the whole thing with Frosch. Kage was still a bit too young to understand the situation, but Hikari could sort through it just fine.

Rogue ignored you standing in the doorway to your bedroom and walked past you down the hall. "Or you could get hurt and trigger something that will let my shadow take over me."

You follow him down the hall and don't stop arguing until you came up with good enough reasons to go. "I'm not letting you go alone! If something happens to you, what am I supposed to do?"

"I'm not going to be alone (Y/N), Sting will be there! Do you forget that we have children? They need their mother here." He stopped at the top of the stairs so he wouldn't be yelling in front of his children.

You tried to tone it down too. Of course that didn't work in an argument. "You seem to be forgetting the small fact that they also need their father Rogue! Why do you have to go?"

"Because it's my job (Y/N)!" You just wanted to punch him with every excuse coming out of his mouth. "If Fairy Tail needs help it's my job to go and help them!"

"So it's not your job to stay here and take care of your children? You're just gonna stick me with that job again?" You really didn't mean to spit that part out.

Even he was surprised you played that card. "You know everything I do is for this family!"

"So going off and fighting a battle that isn't yours is for this family? Why won't you let me go with you and help you?! What are you too proud?"

"I can't lose you! No matter what I don't need you of all people to risk your life for me when I'm supposed to be protecting you!" He lost some of his momentum and yours was all but out.
