Chapter 23 - Finally Home Again

It was your last day at the beach so everyone thought it would be fun to just hang out and play. It was a little like the first day, except the only difference was that you had your own little personal assistant. Or in this case, dog.

"Nope, it needs to be colder." You took a sip of ice cold pink lemonade. "You're a terrible dog." You sigh.

Rufus has been doing everything you told him ever since he woke up. You actually woke him up yourself. You got two pans from downstairs and bashed them together over his head. He freaked out and fell out of bed, which was the funniest thing you have ever seen.

"I already got you five different cups. Can't you just be happy with that one?" Rufus grinds his teeth with his face as red as a tomato. Yeah, he was mad...

"No, because this one sucks just like the others. Go get a new one with 4 ice cubes, one light green umbrella, and make sure the glass isn't all slippery. Thank you!" He snatches the cup back and stomps away. You lay back on your towel that was covered by the shade of an umbrella.

You felt bad for all the stuff you already made him do. Like fishing for shells that looked shiny or doing 88 pushups in the hot sun or even just singing with Orga. Orga was more than happy to sing along with Rufus, which made it so much more entertaining.

You giggle and then slowly breath in and out, enjoying the nice ocean breeze blowing all around. You focus and listen to the sounds around you.

"Natsu let me go!" You hear a loud splash, probably coming from Natsu messing with Lucy as they play in the water. You also hear Happy laughing at them as Lucy tries to escape.

"You're doing it wrong." You listen in on the racket over in the sand.

"Fro think so too." You giggle at Frosch's little catch phrase. 'He's so cute!'

You hear Lector, Frosch, and Sting playing in the sand, probably making sand castles together. "Shut up, I'm doing it right!" Sting growls back.

Lector tsks at an annoyed Sting and chuckles. "Let me show you how to make a real sand castle." And there he goes, showing up Sting for the first time in history. You were sure that Rogue was suppose to be playing with them, but you didn't hear him.

"Please swim with Juvia Gray-sama!" You peak and see the funny sight of Juvia pulling Gray to the waters. He tried his best to get free, but ultimately failed.

"Aw, I missed it again." You overheard the girls talking about things as they play a game of volley ball. You gaze at their little game for a while.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure you'll get the next one." You hear Erza encouraging Wendy. "Besides, winning isn't everything. As long as we have fun, that's all that matters."

You were sure Wendy was smiling. "Yeah, your right." 'She's so cute. She would be such an awesome little sister or something.'

"It's so hot, I need an ice cold beer." Cana whines as she, Lisanna, and Mirajane play against Erza, Wendy, and Levy.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you can wait ten more minutes for a beer." Lisanna laughs. Mirajane too laughed at the sight of Cana "dying" over the heat.

You giggle a little and close you eyes again. You already knew that the rest of the guys were sitting at the bar talking again, so you didn't need to worry. "Here."

You look up and see an annoyed Rufus which made you laugh. "Thank you." You take the drink and sip out of the straw. You absolutely loved the taste, so you chugged it down instead of sipping. You let out a breath and smile. "Looks like you didn't mess up this time. Good job."
