Calum: ur coming over tonight.
Michael: I am? Why is that exactly?
Calum: my family wants to have dinner with u and we want u to help us plan our Christmas party
Michael: You mean the ridiculous event that hundreds of people attend every year with their stupid boyfriends or girlfriends? No thanks..
Calum: its not stupid. U will have Mali with u.
Michael: ugh Calum, I don't want to go or help plan it out alright?
Calum: alright.
Calum: but still come over
Michael: fine. What time?
Calum: at 7
It was already six thirty, that didn't make sense at all. If he would've planned ahead, then it'd be perfectly fine. Michael wanted to spend his night watching hopeless romance novels because he's just upset that the love of his life doesn't realize just how broken he is and just how in love with the kiwi boy he is.
Michael grunted a couple of times before getting out of his bed to put on decent looking material, as his parents had money and he always dressed up to see them rather than just showing up in sweats like he did that one time. It was weird, but you know, weird fits Michael perfectly.
He styled his hair messily as usual, the bright red fading rather quickly. He had time to re-dye it, as Calum only lives five minutes away anyway. So he scattered over towards his cabinets and grabbed out the tube of green hair dye.
Michael wasn't exactly sure why he chose green, maybe it was because he loved the color on him before or perhaps it was because he wanted to match the theme of Christmas and be a peppermint or a tree with lights on it. He could've stayed red and been a candy cane or whatever, but it was faded and as said, he dresses to impress.
The boy slid on a pair of black laced boots that go past his ankles, black jeans that didn't have any holes in them at all and made his legs look really nice, along with an ugly red Christmas sweater because why the hell not?
His green hair would throw off the flamboyant red sweater but who cares. He's technically going to spend time with his best friend and "girlfriend."
He finished dying his hair and smiled in contentment when glancing in the mirror. Sure, he wasn't really attractive compared to some of the girls that Calum dates, but it doesn't matter. Calums still dating Ally, he thinks, but who knows what that boy is up to anymore. His relationship status is all over the place nowadays.
Michael arrived at Calums place, approximately at 7:06 p.m. He was slightly late but it didn't matter. The hoods had their tree up already, it being decorated in Golden ornaments and sparkling blue lights, presents scattering the whole entire living room nearly. There was Christmas music playing in the background, Last Christmas was just ending and Let It Snow was starting to play.
"Welcome Michael, we've missed you," Joy spoke as she opened the door and invited the colorful haired boy inside. He looked nice, and the sweater really lifted his spirit to fit the mood.
Calum was just dressed in a typical band tee, his parents not approving of it at all but it didn't exactly matter. It wasn't like the president or queen of England was coming over to have a very important meeting or whatever. It was just a small dinner along with a planning of a party that the boy didn't really care about either.
