~How to get your legs higher in lifts~

Hey guys, 👋🏼
This is a chapter I thought I would write, as my dance teacher thought me everything that is in this chapter. It is some tips and tricks on how to get you legs higher in lifts like arabesque, lifts in second position.

~STEP 1: Stand up straight and engage your ribs and squeeze your bottom. Bring your arms to first position.

~STEP 2: slowly bring your legs up having control over it make sure you are still squeezing

~STEP 3: once you have brought you leg to the height you want it, hold it for a few seconds and then kick it up a bit more and hold, keep pushing your self until you have to stop.

~STEP 4: if you practise this every class and at home you will start seeing big improvements in 1-2 weeks.

QOTC: Can you get you leg high in an arabesque?

AOTC: I can probably get my leg a bit higher then parallel to my hip😄 still working on getting higher
