So a pump turn is basically popping up through relevè every turn (doesn't make sense but it will soon). I am just going to tell you how the easiest way to do these or how I prefer to do them. So let's get started😜
1. Hold onto something that you can use as a barre. Stand with one arm on the barre, back straight and then put your outside leg up parallel to your hip, bend your other knee and the go into relevè on the leg that you bent and then bring the other leg in and do a pirouette.
Repeat on both left and right sides until you have nailed it and or feel comfortable with it and then move on to the next step.➡️
2. Using the barre do some really quick releve's and then down up and down. ⬆️⬇️
3.Move into the middle of the floor and work on your preparation. So usually when you turn you spin backwards. So I like to turn more on my left leg then I do on my right. Go with your most comfortable leg and then have your arms in second, point your other leg to the side, come back into third and then move one of your arms to fifth and the other still have out at second and then the leg that was pointed to the side take behind you and bend it. You will push off your front leg and then turn to the back. 👍🏻
4. The actual turn.Do your preparation and then push off make sure you do at least one pirouette and then take one the leg that is bent up into the pirouette position. And then take that out parallel to your leg and you keep spinning by doing your relevè and down and relevè and down ect. Make sure that when your about to finish do a few pirouettes and then finish in third!😃
