When It Started

CHAPTER 36

LUKE'S

I was looking around the abandoned house with Alex and the guys. We were looking for Dane I wanted to stay with Zelya but Alex dragged me into this shit so I had not choice. I checked the shed when I heard a familiar voice scream. Alex made eye contact with me and she nodded. She called the guys and we started running.

We found about 12 walkers surrounding the car. I went behind one of them and stabbed them. They guys and I distracted the walkers as Alex tried to get the survivors out of the car.
"I'm Alex." I heard her say to the survivors. "Thanks for saving us Alex.". familiar voice said.

I turned around and my entire body was filled with happiness. "Luke?" His voice was shaking. "Jack... You're alive!" I screamed. Ran to him and tackled him of the ground with a huge hug. "You're alive. You're ok." I started to snob. "Yes I'm fine and I'm glad you're ok too." He said as he hugged me back.

I pulled away from the hug. "Ben...Mom...Dad... Are the ok?" I asked him. "Ben I don't know he wasn't with me when this started same with Mom but... Dad." He said and tears filled his eyes. "He sacrificed himself for me when we were trapped in the building... Thats when I met Andie and Chesca."

He said pointing to Andie and Chesca. "I'm sorry for your loss." Alex said. "I know it may be hard right now but we need to get moving." She said. "Come with us to DZ?" Alex offered and they nodded. Suddenly Chesca collapsed. "Chesca!" Andie screamed. "Don't worry I got her." Ashton said and he picked her up bridal style.

CHANDLER'S POV

I heard the gate open to see Alex back with the boys and 3 survivors. "Take them to the I-room." Alex said to Luke and the boys. They nodded and they led the three well two because Ashton was carrying the other girl to the I-room.

Alex made eye contact with me. She walked up to me. "Look I know you're mad at me but we are the ones who will have interview them. I don't care if you want to kill me or something... I just want to do my job ok?" She said. I ignored her and just looked at the ground. "Fine. Whatever then." She said and she walked away.

I felt someone tap my shoulder. I looked behind and I saw Austin. "You know the two of you should really make up. You were best friends but now you guys are acting like you have been enemies for years." He told me. "After what happened... I don't know I miss her but I feel like I don't want to see her anymore." I told him.

"Well angry or not you still have to do your job. She can kick you out anytime you know that she just dose have the guts to do it." He told me. "What? Why?" I asked him. "Just... If only you knew Chandler." He said walking away.

I sighed and started to the I-room. I opened the door and saw Alex talking to the survivors. "Chandler?" Alex said looking surprised. "Shut it I'm only here to my job." I told her coldly. There were to girls and surprisingly Jack Hemmings was still alive.

Jack sat beside this girl who I think was Andie. "So come you got trapped by those walkers?" Alex asked. "Well actually we were running a-" Andie nudges Jack to stop him from talking. "We were running after a person who stole our supplies when he opened a truck filled with those walkers." Andie said.

Alex looked at them suspiciously. "Ok then you guys can stay near the house of Luke's group." Alex said. She tossed the keys to Andie. "And you will find out your partners by tomorrow."
She said. "Wait who's giving the tour?" I asked Alex. "You are." She said to me. "Wha-" She cuts me off. "We went out there to look for Dane and you just stayed here ok? But then I found them and I killed fucking walkers to save them now do me a favor and show them around I still have to bring their things to their houses.I need rest Chandler..." She said as she walks out of the room.

There was an awkward silence in the room. I sighed. "Great... Lets go." I told them as I led them outside. I showed them around the whole DZ. The park the farm the clinic the DZ center and other stuff. I saw Alex carrying the last boxes with Katelyn and Austin. "I need to go." Alex said when she caught a glimpse of me.

I saw Jack starring at Andie as she helped Chesca balance. Andie caught him and he pretended to look away. I chuckled. "Well you have you keys guys and this is your new home feel free to ask questions anytime from anyone." I told them. I left them there to get settled in. I saw Katie's house suddenly memories came flooding back.

I shook my head and continued walking home. I entered the house and saw Katelyn fixing the kitchen counter. "Wheres Alex and Austin?" I asked her. Austin's in his room preparing for a run. Alex... She's taking a shower." She told me. I run my hand through my hair. I went to my room and sat on my bed. I was in deep thoughts for a while.

I suddenly heard knocking on my door. "Chandler open up!" I heard Austin screaming. I opened my door to see a relive faced Austin. "I thought you killed yourself." Austin said. "Wha? How?" I asked him. "I've been knocking for almost 15 minutes." He said. "Oh... I was just..." I trailed off. "Thinking about Katie I know." Austin said. Well not really I wasn't really thinking about her that much my thoughts were like blurry.

"Yeah... I was..." I lied. "Well you need to get ready for the run tomorrow ok. we will also be looking for Dane." Austin said and he closed the door. I plopped down on my bed staring at
the ceiling for a few mins and stood up to finally ready my stuff for tomorrow.

I FINALLY REACHED 1000 WORDS AGAIN CAUSE MY PAST CHAPTERS WERE ONLY 500 OR
MORE AND I AM NOT HAPPY WITH IT.
