When It Started

CHAPTER 26

ALEX'S POV

I heard knocking on my door. "Alex someone's hurt." I opened the door to find Chandler. I stared at him. "Alex!" He screamed. "What?!?" I screamed back. "I need your help..." He said with sadness in his eyes. My face of anger softened a bit. "Why?" I asked him. "Katie... She's hurt." He told me. I frowned her again. "How?" I asked him. "She got shot in the woods." He told me. "Why the fuck was she even in the woods." I told him. "She took me for a walk there." He said and I stared at him. I sighed. "We have a medical center." I told him. "I know but I need you're help." He said. "For fucking what Chandler?!!"  I said getting angry again. "To catch the guy." He told me. I sighed and went outside he took me to the place she got shot. "Chandler there's a trap there." I told him. And he looked closer. "Huh guess there is... I need to go to Katie now. Th-" I cut him off. "No need to thank me you're leaving me anyways." I told him. His face was filled with guilt. "Alex look I-" I cut him off once more. "Just... Leave..." I said and I stormed off back into DZ. I grabbed my gun and knife and I went back outside in the woods to hunt. I suddenly came upon a small house I decided to find some things for my self. I knocked the door down and raised my gun just incase there are any walkers. I scouted the rest of the house until I heard crashing in a room. I slowly approached the door and grabbed the door nob I slowly opened it and a walkers hand tried to grab me but I backed away I grabbed my knife and stabbed him on his head. I pushed the walkers body to the side and I went inside the room he came from and saw
a case inside the room. I opened it and found nothing but paper I tossed it and I suddenly heard a loud thud. I saw a box it was a small box and inside was a key.

I picked up a key and saw walked over to a closed chest. (A/N lots of opening here.) I opened it and found a 2 set of bows and arrows blades knifes and guns and ammo and some female clothing and inside was also a picture of a Father and daughter. I guess this was for her but by the looks of it he's already dead I wonder where's the girl... The photo looked recent the girl had brown hair brown eyes she looked around 18. I closed the chest and started to walk home. I was carrying the chest when I felt someone grabbed me and cover my mouth. I kicked and kicked trying to get away from the grasp. I managed to kick the person on the knee and the person lets go of me. I grabbed my gun and aimed it at the person. It was a girl buy she was wearing a mask. She kicked me and I fall back. I placed the gun back just incase it may go out of reach. The girl grabs her knife and tries to stab me but ends up cutting my arm. "What do you want?!" I screamed. "Your life!" She screamed and she punches me and I fall to the ground. "Too bad its not for sale bitch!" I told her and kicked her off and stood up pining her to the ground. I stepped on her chest to keep her pinned and aimed the gun at her. "Who sent you?" I asked her and she just laughs. "If you kill me you're never going to find out." She said.

I stepped on her chest deeper. "Who sent you." I said in a monotone voice. "I-if I t-tell you will you let me go?" She asked me. I took some time to answer. "No. Tell me or die." I told her. "One letter love... X." She said and she kicked me and run away. Great now I'm bruised cut or for short badly injured.

I grabbed the chest a continued to walk back to DZ when I got there I heard someone scream my name. "Alex! She's Injured!" I looked up and saw Brad Sam and Dane standing. Brad was the one who screamed. She opened the gate and I entered. Suddenly the 3 of them started to rush down. Suddenly I felt light headed and everything went black.
