I hope you all don't hate me too much for the last chapter! I have to admit, I had fun writing it...
But relief to your hearts! Things will be changing soon. ;)
Here's another chapter. Enjoy!!!
___________
I was sitting on the couch after Bonnie went out to see what all the ruckus was from. My hands gently placed on my stomach. So that was what all of this was. All signs of a pregnancy. But I'm a vampire. I shouldn't procreate...
But I was a powerful witch, said Esther. All that power could have very well countered the inability to have children. The power was channeled through something, too.
Love.
I bit back any tears that threatened to show up. This was Elijah's and my child. He would have loved to hear about this exciting and shocking news. It would've surprised him.
My emotions were beginning to break, so I jumped up and headed past everyone.
Damon and Stefan both gave me a confused look. But Bonnie gave me a knowing one. I nodded at her, then walked out the door. My target was on one certain being right now.
I marched up to Klaus and glared at him. Swiftly, I brought my hand back and slapped him hard. His head whipped to the side from the force of my hand. Behind me, Damon whistled, impressed.
"Be happy now, you bastard. You destroyed Elijah and me before he could hear the miracle news I got today," I growled and stormed off away from Klaus.
I flashed off into the distance, down to the park. It was the only place that would cool me off.
The run, well vamp-speed run, was quite fast, bringing me to my destination quickly. I pushed past the gates and strode back towards the secret spot of the park. My hair flipped gently in the wind, and my arms swung rigidly at my side.
I remembered walking through here with Elijah. It was peaceful and pleasant. The stream was rolling near me as it did before. Inside, I could feel my emotions launching themselves everywhere. It was hard to contain such sadness.
My teeth cut into my lip as I sat on the lonely bench in our spot. My mind envisioned Elijah and me here from before.
Next to me, the faded figures were smiling happily to one another. My radiant smile was mirroring his. I watched as the visioned me with a white dress on straddled Elijah. It was a sweet memory. But it was aching my heart right now, thinking of it.
"Damn it, Klaus," I growled, letting tears fall. I put my feet onto the bench and folded my arms. "Why did you have to ruin his trust for me?" I brought my legs closer and unfolded my arms. "Why did you destroy our perfect love for one another?"
My face buried deep in my hands, my eyes swimming with tears. "I love him," I said to myself. "And only him. It'll only ever be him."
My tears silently fell as I replayed the various memories I had with Elijah. Each one made me cry harder until I was full out bawling. I thought I could never cry this much, but I was wrong. It was almost endless.
All of a sudden, I felt a familiar presence near me. It was all too familiar. It made more tears spill from my eyes.
But when I looked up, there was no one.
I sprawled out on the bench as sighed shakily. These tears felt like they'd never stop. I feel like they'd keep coming for the next days until I just finally run out.
