Hey guys! I apologize for not updating sooner :(

I'm writing another fanfiction about the Originals with Klaus. It's coming along great, tbh. I will be posting that up too soon! It's called Forbidden Love.  I hope you all will check that out for me :)

Enjoy!

(Elijah)

My brother Niklaus was leading me to an apartment. Our family was kept in a flat? I did not understand why he would keep them here of all places he could. It would be too suspicious to conceal caskets in here. I couldn't help but think Niklaus was setting me up.

As we walked through the apartment doorway, my eyes widened as I saw Katerina. She was holding Stefan Salvatore against the wall, and she glanced at Niklaus.

"Klaus, you're back," she announced the already known. "Look who decided to come for a visit."

My brother looked in the direction of Stefan. "You just keep popping up, don't you?" He mused, smirking slightly. I kept a steady gaze on the two vampires before me. What could Stefan possibly need from Niklaus?

"I need your help..." He trailed off, his eyes hard. "For my brother." Right. Now I remembered. Damon was bit by Tyler Lockwood. It makes sense that Stefan would come here.

"Well, whatever it is," Klaus waved off nonchalantly, "it's gonna have to wait a tick." He glanced at me. "You see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention."

Looking at Stefan, I tried to find my reasoning. "You understand how important family is, or you wouldn't be here," I stated. I turned my back to Klaus and turned to Stefan. "My brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own."

"And so I shall."

Klaus's voice appeared dark with amusement before I felt a sharp pain pierce my chest. Gasping, betrayed, I clutched Klaus's arms as he lied my dying body on the floor. Dark veins crawled up my skin as the once ivory skin turned gray in color.

I watched Klaus stand as my vision grew black.

On the screen projector was Gone With the Wind. Bonnie, Jeremy, Caroline and I sat, watching the screen.

Caroline leaned close to me. "All of this waiting for news is ruining Scarlett for me," she whispered, raising her perfectly plucked eyebrows.

We were still waiting for Elena to get back. Stefan whisked her away with the most solemn look ever. Poor Stefan. He never has a smile on his face.

Suddenly, someone's phone rang. I jumped at the sound, but Jeremy pulled his electronic device out and stopped the sound by answering it. He furrowed his eyebrows. "Alaric. Hey."

Alaric said something on the other end that I couldn't hear. My people hearing couldn't pick up his words.

"She went to go see Damon," Jeremy said. "I thought that's where you were?"

Again, Alaric replied. But I couldn't hear his long answer. Though, before Jeremy could hang up, a sharp pain suddenly shot at my heart.

Screaming, I gripped my chest and crumbled to the floor. God, it felt like someone was stabbing me! The sharp pain lingered with revenge as my vision turned dark.

My last thought before slipping unconscious was one thing:

Elijah.
