A Thug's Love Never Dies: Chapter 29

~Chanelle P.O.V.~

I woke up covered in kids. It was cute though.

Being away from Lexis and DeShawn really gave me time to just think about everything. I was actually looking forward to talking to Lexis, I still wasn't going to bring the boys mainly because of Trey's attitude towards Lexis. I know for a damn good fact that he doesn't hate his Daddy, he's only sayin that because he doesn't know the right words to describe what he's really feeling and that's okay. I planned on discussing that matter with Lexis today too.

I snapped out of thoughts and realized I was layin right in Arlie. He was sound asleep and I was trapped by two kids, how the hell am I goin to get up without waking anybody up? I slowly started to shift but stopped when I felt Arlie take a deep breath.

"You know I can feel you moving right?" He said with a small laugh

"I tried to move without waking you up, I need to get up." I said as I sat up and slowly moved Ty farther down on the couch. I stood up and Trey immediately woke up.

"T-Money, how are you feeling this mornin?" Arlie asked as he sat Trey up.

"I'm good, Mommy where are you going?" He rubbed his eyes and let out a small yawn as he asked me.

"I'm talking to Daddy" I smiled at him

"Oh" He looked down. "Why?" He asked

"Because Daddy and I need to talk, do you want to come with me or stay with Uncle Arlie?"

"Uncle Arlie" He smiled showin off his cute little dimples

"Well alright. I'll be back in a little bit, you're gonna be okay with them?" I asked a I was putting on my red toms.

"Yeah I got it, if anything happens I'll hit you up."

"Thank you so much for everything Arlie." I gave him a hug and kissed both boys before I headed out to my car.

~5 Minutes Later~

I pulled up and didn't see Lexis so I took the spare time to walk in and get a coffee.

"Good Morning, what would you like today?" The woman at the front said. She looked about my age, dark skin, black hair that was pulled back into a braid.

"Good Moring, I'll have a grande, deacaf raspberry mocha please," I said as I started digging in my wallet for a $5 bill.

"Okay is that all?" She asked with a smile on her face. I nodded my head and continued to look. "That will be $4.55-"

"Here" I looked up and saw Lexis hand over his credit card. The woman took the card and swiped it across the little machine. I looked up at Lexis and saw him flash me a look of content, I couldn't help but smile at his little smirk.

"Here you are, have a nice day." She smiled as she handed me my coffee. I followed Lexis outside to one of the tables and pulled out the chair and sat down.

"How are you Nelle?" He asked with a sigh

"I'm alright, how are you?" I took a sip of my coffee. I expected this talk to be awkward from the beginning but it felt comfortable.

"I could be a lot better, how are the boys?" He looked at me with hopeful, hurt, crushed, weakened eyes. His eyes lost the beautiful green hint that mixed with his original hazel color.

"The boys are okay, Trey was really hurt Lexis, but we will talk about that after we discuss where we go from here. I don't want to keep the boys from you, you are their father regardless and I want you in their life's. I just think for a while we should just be friends just for the kids and see where it goes from there."
