Gasps swept over the gathering audience.

I shook my head "this isn't true. What kind of sick trick are you trying to pull?" I demanded.

"This is news to me as much as it is you" he replied.

"And what did Jan prove? She didn't do anything!" I screamed back.

"Jan can see a persons DNA. She can analyze a persons genetics. Know a persons history and ancestors" he told me calmly.

"I don't know Jan! This is a joke! This isn't real!" I cried, trying to make sense of everything. I could feel the rage radiating from my body.

"You need to calm down Katrina!" I heard Cameron echo through my thoughts. I took a deep breath and controlled my rage.

"You could kill everyone in this room if your not careful with your temper" Cameron added. Shivers ran through my body.

"Katrina this is very real. It all makes sense when I think about it. But why would he tell us now?" His eyes light up "did you ask him where Carman was?".

"No! I was a little preoccupied!" I answered. I heard the slap before I felt it. I slowly clutched at my now burning cheek. I turned slowly back to Miles.

"You touch me again and I will end you" I threatened through my teeth.

He laughed "you can't kill me my dear".

I got in his face "I could make your life a living hell".

Miles grunted and slowly sank to his knees, clutching his head. I made it so that his brain was under a lot of pressure which caused a great amount of pain.

I felt myself being launched into the air. My body hit the wall and rebounded to the floor, breaking my trance. I blinked a few times, processing what just happened. It was one of Miles men. I gathered my self and stood. Miles was now in the position he was in before, staring down at me.

"Katrina this is true. See for yourself" he told me.

"How?" I asked tensely.

He shrugged "you have the power to".

I sighed and cleared my mind. My thoughts stretched to his mind and body. I wanted to do what that Jan girl did. I saw his DNA as clearly as I could see Miles in front of me. I compared it to my own and saw that I shared half of my genes with him. He was my father. I stumbled back, trying to catch my breath.

Miles suddenly turned to the crowd that had formed "what are you all doing here? I didn't call you! Get out!" Everyone shuffled out but Jake, who hesitated.

"What did I say boy?" Miles yelled at Jake. He starred to shuffle out.

I stalked off after him calling "wait up Jake!".

"Where are you going?" Miles yelled after me.

I turned back to him "I need some time. This is a lot to take in".

I walked up to Jake and we started back to the room.

I stopped at the doorframe and added "and don't expect me to be calling you Dad". Miles was silent as I stalked back to the room with Jake trailing on my heels.

"Cat! Are...you okay?" Jake asked, matching my stride beside me.

I shook my head "I can't believe this. I don't know how to handle it".

Jake got in front of me an put his hands on my arms, forcing me to stop. He looked into my tearing eyes.

"Just because he is genetically you dad doesn't make him your father" he told me "or your adoptive dad. He was no father to you either".
