Imagine #18- You Have a Mental Disorder- Grayson

You have ADHD and you haven't told Grayson. You have medication so you can normally hide it but there are days where you forget to take it, like today. You went over to Grayson's house to hang out when you realized you forgot to take your meds. It was already too late so you decided to try really hard to focus on acting "normal" but you knew it was going to be difficult.

You guys went for a walk like you always do around this time of year. You and Grayson walked hand in hand around the park near his house. The leaves on the trees were just beginning to change colours and you couldn't help but focus on how pretty they were. You didn't realize Grayson was in the middle of telling a story when you interrupted him

"Aren't the trees so pretty? I love fall so much"

"Uh, yeah they're nice. Have you been listening to my story?" He asked.

"Uh yeah," you lied.

"Okay then what was the story about?" he asked. 

You couldn't remember. You weren't listening to the story at all.

"Ethan?" You guessed.

"Why do you always do this, y/n? You never listen to me!"

"I'm sorry I can't help it," you said quietly.

"It's getting pretty annoying so you might want to fix it"

"I have tried fixing it! I have medication and I try really hard to focus on one thing at a time but my mind is always racing!"

"Wait, what? You take medication? For what?" Grayson asked concerned.

"Uh, I have ADHD," you said.

Grayson looked surprised. He looked into your eyes and took your hands in his.

"Is that why you can't focus?" He asked.

You nodded. "I've had it ever since I was a kid. It's normally not too bad but I forgot to take my meds today."

"Why haven't you told me?"

"I was scared to. A lot people treat me differently when they find out I have ADHD. It's not a walk in the park for other people. I guess I was worried you wouldn't be able to deal with it."

"I don't care that you have ADHD. Well I do care but it doesn't change the way I think of you. At least now I know you're not trying to be rude, you just can't help it. Y/n, I love you so much. I want you to know that, okay?"

You nodded and you walked back to his house hand in hand.
