Your POV
I was on my way home from school one day when a truck hit the side of my car. I was rushed to the hospital unconscious. After a few days of being in bed rest at the hospital, I made a routine of visiting the hospital gardens. Everyday I would go down in my wheelchair and sit outside. I could walk but it was very hard. The wheelchair made things easier.
One day I was sitting there, like I always did, when a boy around my age walked up to me. He was in a hospital gown like I was but he had his arm in a sling. He sat down on the bench next to me. He didn't say anything, he just sat there looking at the flowers. I stared at him, waiting for him to talk. He was very good looking and I was starting to wonder why I'd never see him before. After a few quiet minutes, he pointed to one of the windows in the hospital. "That's my room. 312 on level three," he said.
He paused for a moment and then looked at me. His eyes were beautiful and looked so unique in the sun light. I waited for him to say something before I said anything. He looked back to the flowers before he started talking.
"Everyday, I would see you come down here, rain or shine. Not everyone would be so devoted to going outside. I knew I had to meet this special girl. You intrigued me, so here I am meeting you. I'm Grayson," he said while putting out his good arm.
I shook his hand.
"I'm y/n," I said nervously.
"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," he said with a smirk.
I tucked my hair behind my ears. I've never been good at talking to boys and now here I am, in a hospital gown in a wheelchair, talking to a very handsome guy who could basically be a Disney Prince.
"God, you are the most beautiful human being I have ever seen," he said while staring at me smiling.
I smiled back, my cheeks turning pink.
"Want to go for a walk around the garden?" He asked.
"Sure," I said.
"Do you need me to push you?" He asked politely.
"No, thanks," I said embarrassed, "I can push myself."
We walked around the gardens, looking at all the flowers. We told each other about our lives and why we're here.
"I fell," he said casually. "Skateboarding accident. Broke a couple bones and now I'm here for the next few days. How about you?" He asked.
"Car crash," I said quickly, not wanting to think about the accident.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," he said while giving me a sympathetic smile.
He kept looking at me, just smiling.
"What?" I asked.
"You're just so beautiful," he said.
"You said that already," I said laughing.
He laughed with me and bit his lip.
"That's because it's true. You're so beautiful, inside and out," he said.
He all of a sudden stopped walking.
"Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" He asked.
"Where?" I asked. "There really isn't anywhere for us to go"
"The cafeteria has some great food. You just got to imagine it as five star meal," he said laughing.
"I would love to get out of my room for dinner," I said considering his dinner proposal.
"So is that a yes?" He asked.
I nodded. "That's a yes,"
