"Get your hands off her!"

...

I frowned slightly as I scrubbed the stained white plate in front of me. The afternoon light making rainbows in the bubbles, causing my mind to run wild as the colors changed.

Only a day ago I was home with two loving parents who would do anything for each other and the most beautiful caring three sisters anyone could ask for. My life wasn't perfect, but it was the life I had enjoyed living.

These where the types of days that my father would get the family out to enjoy a walk in the park or a nearby field. Although my father was a wealthy business man, he always made time for his family. His five musketeers.

Mother would bake her famous apple pie to bring along on the walk and an excess amount of tissues that she always brought along with her 'just in case'.

I smiled through my tears as I remembered how my father and I would always mock her for bringing along the 'worlds resources of trees', while she would laugh and swipe my father's arm with a napkin but still pack more.

I wiped my eyes off the corner of my shoulder.

Things like this didn't happen to people like me.

I thought as I brought a clean white plate out of the soapy water.

Staring at the plate I forced the tears out of my eyes. They didn't belong there. I thought to myself as I stared hard at the face forming at the center of the white plate.

"Unless you want something to happen to that cute little sister of yours."

The face whispered a mocking grin growing on its features as its eyes darkened.

"What use is she to us just sitting there?"

Another face appeared this time with piercing dark blue eyes.

Suddenly the faces joined as one as the sound of laughter filled my mind.

"Aaron, Aaron help me... Pathetic little me." The voices teased as the laughter began again.

I shut my eyes as I leaned against the sink. But the voices continued to play in my mind.

"Unless you want something to happen to that cute little sister of yours."

My head felt dizzy as I grabbed the edge of sink.

Things like this didn't happen to people like me, people with loving families, amazing best friends, rich...

My thoughts were silenced by the sound of a plate crashing against tiles. I opened my eyes immediately to find the plate that had been in my withering grasp a few seconds ago smashed into pieces on the hard floor.

I stared at the pieces until my vision blurred before sliding down against the wall beside the door and sobbing.

I let the emotion take over my body as my shoulders shook violently.

Things like this didn't happen to people like me. I though over and over again as I tried to reason with what had happened last night.

After a few minutes, I felt a warm arm snake around my shoulders as a figure moved up close to me.

Wiping my eyes off my sleeve, I looked up to be met by a pair of kind hazel eyes.

"Hey, what did one butt cheek say to the other." He asked tilting my chin up so my eyes were level with his.

"What?" I asked sniffling as I tried not to giggle.

He paused for a second before replying: " Together, we will take down this sh*t."

I stared at him for a few seconds, as a dimple ignited in his left cheek, before bursting out laughing. From where I was sitting, I could see the faint freckle just above his right eyebrow.

"How many websites did it take to find that one?" I snorted wiping my eyes with the back of my hand.

"Only five." He replied, "but it was worth cheering you up."

"Thanks." I added sincerely, earning a small smile from him as I cautiously placed my head on his shoulder.

He tensed a little as my head made contact with his shoulder, but soon relaxed before wrapping his arms around my waist.
