"Woooh, who is this girl that has just graced me with her presence?" Cole asked mockingly as he looked me up and down.
I shut the bathroom door behind me as I shot him a glare. I knew I wasn't looking my best, in the oversized black hoodie that he had given me that came down as far as my knees and covered my finger tips. With my hair tied up in a messy wet lump on top of my head.
"Shut up." I retorted throwing him two more glares for good luck.
He smirked before replying.
"I hope the boxers fit alright."
I cringed as I tried my best to retain my natural hue. Making him chuckle.
"Thanks for the clothes and the um bath, could you please help me find my way back to my room again?" I asked attempting to change the subject.
He took one look at me before leaping up from he bed and grabbing the clothes in my hands.
"Let's dance first."
I rolled my eyes as Cole turned on the CD player.
"What is up with you and dancing?" I asked as he wrapped both arms around my waist, the soft music filling the room.
"I don't know, I just always wanted to be a dancer, my dad..." He trailed off looking down at the floor.
I wrapped my arms around his neck as I swayed my hips to the music.
"Your dad?" I asked finishing the question.
His head shot up immediately.
"It's none of your business." He spat making me do a double take.
"What, Cole I was just-- I didn't mean--"
"It doesn't matter, get out." He said letting go of my waist. I stared at him disbelief as he handed me my clothes. Up to now Cole had been the only one keeping me happy in this hell hole.
"Cole I'm sorry." I apologised looking directly at him.
His expression softened for a second before hardening again.
"Just leave please." He insisted, looking at the floor.
I didn't say a word, just walked out the room into the dark corridor.
~
I let out a small muffled scream as someone placed a hand over my mouth and pulled me into a dark room.
Immediately my instinct kicking in I braced myself as I took a bite of my prospectors hand.
"Ow–what the heck, girl."
I relaxed as I heard the familiar deep and husky voice of Shawn.
"What the hell did you grab me like that for?" I hissed as I stood facing Shawn who had his hand in the palm of his other hand as he stared at it in disbelief.
"What the hell were you doing wandering around the building at 2:17 in the morning?" He hissed, grabbing my arm.
"Let go of me idiot, I'm going to bed." I retorted whipping my arm free and turning around.
I opened the door and walked out into the dark corridor before turning back realising I didn't even know where my room was.
"You can wipe that stupid smirk off your face any minute now." I announced crossing my hands over my chest.
Shawn chuckled before turning around to walk to the bed.
"So I'm guessing your not going to help me?" I asked knowing the answer already.
"Nope." He replied popping the 'P' as he closed his eyes.
"Well then I'm not going anywhere." I replied stubbornly lying my leather jacket on the floor and bundling my jeans up to make a pillow.
"Suit yourself." Shawn replied pulling the quilt over his shoulders.
~
The floor was hard but I had no better option than to lay there silently as Shawn snored teasingly into his pillow.
I had managed to find a suitable spot on the floor that didn't feel like the weather at the North Pole as I drifted of gently, only to be awoken by someone carrying me.
I didn't bother protesting as I was placed on a warm bed and a warm arm was placed around my waist.
"Don't ever mention this to me or anyone, or I'll kill you." Shawn whispered in my ear as he snuggled closer so there was enough room for the both of us.
I didn't bother to reply as I drifted off into another world.
