"We're turning ourselves in." Cole stated firmly pulling his shirt over his body.

I stared at him in disbelief, he seriously was going mad.

"Cole you can't do that, you'll get into trouble." I insisted making my way to the bed he was sitting on.

He turned his head to face me as he ran his fingers through his dark hair.

"Maddie, what else are we going to do? We can't continue living like this, I'm sick of it." He announced, his hazel eyes darkening.

I slipped my head underneath his arms.

"Cole I'll go home and I'll send you money from time to so you can find a place of your own, please I don't want you to get in trouble, I care to much." I blurted out.

His features softened as he pulled me into an embrace.

"Maddie it will be alright, stop worrying, we'll just tell the truth I promise everything will be fine, you'll be back home with your family, Shawn and I always get through things, don't worry." He said planting a kiss on top of my head.

I smiled through my tears as I stuffed my face into the crook of his neck.

Shawn had left ten minutes ago to get some breakfast, leaving me alone with Cole.

"Cole your only seventeen, they will put you in a home, and Shawn is nineteen, he'll be put into prison." I argued lifting my head up from his shoulder. I wasn't going to let this drop.

He sighed before getting up, "Maddie everything will be fine, aren't you the one that literally begged to go home?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

I hesitated before speaking.

"Yes I was Cole, but that was before I realised how much you and Shawn meant to me, I cant just leave you guys alone like that, not after everything we've been through, its either us or nothing at all." I stated firmly as I stood up from the bed to face Cole.

"Stop saying that." Cole snapped all of a sudden making me to step back in surprise. "Stop saying that you care about us Maddie, just stop. Everyone knows that we could never be anything more than just your 'kidnappers'  Maddie, stop trying to make us think you care, when you really don't." And with that he turned around and walked straight into the bathroom.

I wanted to scream, I wanted to march right into the bathroom and pull Cole out. Who did he think he was telling me what my feelings were. They were mine after all not bloody Coles.

I sighed in frustration as I sat back down on the bed.

Shawn bust through the door a few minutes later with a cheeky grin on his face.

"Aw heck, I thought I'd catch you guys making out or something ." He grinned clicking his fingers like swiper the fox from Dora.

I shrugged as I placed my head back onto the pillow.

Shawn's face softened as he placed the paper bag he had been holding onto the table and made his way slowly to me before sitting down by my feet.

"Cole being a dick again?" He asked pulling my feet into his lap.

I nodded into my pillow before getting up to look at him.

"He thinks I don't care about any of you." I answered pushing my hair out of my face.

Shawn grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into his chest.

"Don't worry about it Maddie, the kid is obviously head over heels." He said staring into the distance like an ancient wise man.

I giggled as I waved my hand in front of his face.

"That's not true." I insisted, although I couldn't help but notice the slight pace in my heart beat.

The bathroom door flung open as Cole sauntered out the door like something important, completely ignoring Shawn and I.

Suddenly Shawn leaped up causing me to fall back on the bed in surprise as he tackled Cole to the ground.

"Someone needs to make an apology." Shawn breathed out as he rested his weight upon Cole's chest.

"There is nothing to apologize for, get off me Shawn." Cole wheezed as his best friend remained unmoved on top of his chest.

I smiled as I looked down at the two boys.  I was definitely going to miss this.

"Say sorry." Shawn demanded.

Cole wheezed some more before lifting his head to look at me.

"Sorry." He said trying to get breath into his lungs.

"Sorry for what?" Cole demanded. " Speak louder Cole."

He sighed before looking back at me.

"I'm sorry Maddie, for not believing that you cared about us." Cole finally coughed out as he looked up at me sincerely.

I smiled at him as Shawn got up from his chest.

"Now hug the lady." He instructed Cole who looked like he had just run a marathon.

Cole made his way towards me before wrapping his arms around me.

I breathed his soft minty scent praying silently that he couldn't feel my heart pace quicken at his touch.

"Don't forget me." Shawn said wrapping his arms around the both of us.

I couldn't help but smile as Cole and Shawn pulled back.

"Anyone up for some breakfast." I announced making my way to the paper bag.

Shawn cheered loudly as we dug into bagels and muffins.
