Aaron's P.O.V

Brontè sat opposite me as her mother cried into her shoulder.

Her father sat with his head in his hands in the couch while Olivia mumbled sadly to her dolls.

Leaving out Astrid who had disappeared to her room almost an hour ago.

I stared at everyone in turn as I tried to gather my thoughts.

Madison had to be somewhere, she couldn't have just disappeared into thin air.

I had come home the night she had been kidnapped too afraid to tell anyone about the kidnapping because I didn't want my family or her to get hurt.

I should have tried to stop what had happened. I should have just listened to her when she had said she didn't want to got to the party. We could have stayed home and watched a movie. I still could have told her how much I liked her, I didn't have to drag her along to that awful party to let her know.

I placed my head in my hands as I sighed slowly.

I had apologized to both her parents who had insured me that it wasn't my fault, yet still could not look me in the eye.

The police had searched for her after twenty four hours, but without a trace to be found apart from the remain of a golden iPhone similar to the one she had gotten two days ago for her birthday.

I might not have known where she was at the moment, but I sure knew what had happened and seeing the faces of her parents as I formed a lie to them, broke my heart into a million pieces.

Madison was out there somewhere but only I knew what had happened...
