"Mom, I'll be fine, I'm nineteen for goodness sake." I huffed as I pulled on my black ankle boots.
My mother pouted her bottom lip.
"Is your phone charged Madison?" She asked for the millionth time that hour.
I groaned.
"Gina, please calm down, Maddie over here is tougher than you think, aren't you now?" Aaron asked, looking over at us from the living room chair.
I rolled my eyes.
"Home by six." My mother ordered as she cupped my face into her hands and planted a small kiss unto my forehead.
I nodded quickly.
"I'll be here."

Convincing Aaron not to come along was harder than expected, but he eventually agreed to let me have my own space for once.
Ever since I had been kidnapped, which was about two years ago. Everyone had walked around me like I was a breakable. It made me feel weak, but I knew I wasn't weak.
I made my way into a small cafe, before taking the seats nearer the window.
I thought about them though, all three of them.
Shawn would be twenty one now. I had been told that he had been sent to prison for being part of drug dealing which he helped Devon with.
As for Cole he was nineteen now, I hadn't heard much about him.
"Excuse me ma'am, would you like a drink?" The waitress asked, leaning over me.
I nodded quickly, giving her a crooked smile "A coffee please."
She raised an eyebrow before jotting down something quickly onto her note pad.
"I'll be back with your coffee in a few." She insisted before smiling.
I smiled back and watched as she left the table, no one knew who I was anymore. The story had died down after two years.
I rested my hand against my chin as I stared out the window.
A few seconds later the waitress came back with my coffee I smiled at her gratefully before attempting to take it from her.
She looked at me curiously before placing it on the table in front of me.
My face reddened as I nodded a thank you to her.
"Would you like anything else?" She asked placing her note pad in her palm.
I shook my head.
"Thanks but I'm fine for the moment."
"No problem." She replied before leaving the table.
I took another sip of my coffee before placing it down again.
Taking out my phone I read the time. Nearly five. I still had tons of time to check around the shops for anything new. Aaron had told me to check out the new sports shop down town.
To be honest I wasn't really that interested in it.
Placing my hand back on the table, I hadn't noticed that I had knocked the scolding hot coffee into my lap, until a scream escaped my mouth.
The waitress made her way up to me. But was cut off by a tall man, with dark hair.
I glanced back down to my lap as I attempted to scoop up the puddles of coffee from my jeans.
A hand rested on my shoulder. Causing me to jump a little.
"What the heck is all the screaming for? You would think you were being kidnapped or something." The man spoke.
Ignoring the coffee spilt onto my lap, I raised my head up to be met by a pair of kind hazel eyes...
