"Snap!" I screamed as a I slammed my open palm against the ace card laying on top of a pile of cards on the bed.

"Again?" Cole asked in disbelief picking up the card to check the one at the bottom for proof.

"How does it feel?" I asked teasingly.

"How does what feel?" He replied with a question.

"Losing to a girl, seven times in a row?" I added inspecting my nails.

"Hey, only cause I let you win idiot." Cole replied defensively.

"Yea, and Father Christmas is my mother." I sang getting up from the bed.

"Wanna bet?" Cole replied getting up from the bed as well.

"Bring it on tiger." I answered grabbing a pillow.

Cole mirrored my actions by grabbing the quilt instead.

"May the odds be ever in your favor." Cole insisted teasingly. Lifting the quilt up to shield his face.

"I beg to differ." I retorted whacking him with the pillow.

We continued our pillow and quilt war as the sun went down slowly at the other side of the window. After Cole had found me crying in the kitchen, he had helped me clear up the broken plate on the floor and clean up the dishes, before challenging me to a game of snap, that I simply couldn't back down from.

"Beg for Mercy from the amazing Madison Gray." I sang in between fits of giggles as I held my pillow up towards Cole who shrunk back in a corner, with his arms over his head.

"Please don't kill me." He squealed as I tried to control my laughter.

"You know what, I'll spare your dignity. Losing seven times to a girl was hard enough." I said thrusting out a hand to him.

He took it gratefully as he hoisted himself up.

"Only because I let you win." He added a smirk pulling at the corners of his lips, making his hazel eyes sparkle.

"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night, tough stuff." I insisted sarcastically as I bent down to scoop up the quilt from the floor.

Cole remained silent for a second as he watched me arrange the pillow and quilt carefully on the bed.

"Are you seriously going to bed dressed like that?" He asked eyeing up my black jeans and leather jacket that I still had from the night...

"Well I don't see any other options for female clothing around here." I sighed as I rearranged the quilt and the pillow.

Cole remained silent for a few seconds watching me make the bed.

After a few seconds I felt a hand wrap around my forearm.

"Come with me." He ordered pulling me along by the arm.

"Hey I'm not a dog, let go." I insisted trying to free my arm. But Cole held on firmly.

I sighed in defeat as I let him drag me through a mass of endless doorways to the front of a door that was similar to the one of the room I had been put into earlier.

Cole hesitated before pushing the door gently.

"Come in." He said letting go of my arm.

I took a step into the room before observing my surroundings.

The room was similar in shape to the one I had been placed in, with the same stained window. But this room looked more welcoming with dark blue walls and a small door, that I hoped contained a bathroom.

I glanced around at the tidy room as Cole made his way to the wardrobe at the far corner.

"Nice room." I complement, glancing at Cole who had his back to me as he rummaged through his wardrobe.

"Thanks." His muffled reply came after a few seconds.

"I do take pride in keeping it clean." He announced coming out of the wardrobe with a few clothes in the crook of his arms.

"Here try these on, they're a bit big but, you'll get used to it." He said handing me a pile of clothes.

I took them gratefully with a smile.

"Oh and there is a bathroom in there, if you want to shower and stuff and I think I have a spare toothbrush in one of the cup holders, its still in the packet." He added pointing to the small door.

I nodded gratefully before getting up. I had made it to the front door of the bathroom before I felt something fall on my head.

Glancing up I brought my hand to my head and pulled down a pack of boxers.

"Don't worry, they're new." Cole winked.

I smiled gratefully for the millionth time as I turned towards the bathroom hoping that tomato face me wouldn't make an appearance.

The bathroom was a standard size, with dark blue tiles and a shower and bath.

I placed my clothes on an empty towel rack and resigned to filling up the bath. I watched as the water slowly filled up the smooth marble surface of the bath and I couldn't help but think about my family. What would they be doing right now?

I caught my reflection in the mirror over the sink as I looked around for soap.

My dark brown hair that was usually wavy was limp as it hung lifelessly down my back. My skin was paler than it usually was making the dark circles under my eyes prominent. A small dark scar on the right corner of my temple made me wince remembering the night I had been separated from Aaron.

I grabbed hold of the mint soap as I poured quarter of the bottle content into the warm water.

It took less than half a second to get my clothes off and get into the bath, relishing the soft feel of the minty lather against my skin as I drifted off into a land far away...
