Chapter Thirteen

  Jake gently stroked my cheek, and I fluttered my eyes open. "Janey, the doctor is here. He wants to ask you a few question." I turned my head to see Doctor Allan walk in with something in his hands. "Jane, it is nice to see you looking better."I nodded my head. "Well I never really got to ask you if you remember anything about what happened." I thought long and hard, but all I remember was the fact that I was with my friends. He nodded my head, and begun to tell me what Trisha told me. "Your friend told me that you had just told them that you and Mr.Adler were engaged when they pulled you into a hug. You winced in pain, and told them that your side hurt. She also said that your friend Joanne checked your stitches and found that they were burst." I was in awe, as I started to remember everything. Jake just looked terrified. "Oh Janey, I am so sorry that I wasn't there with you." I took is my hand in my hands , and kissed them. "It's okay, I am just fine. I am sure it was just something little." Doctor Allan cleared his throat, I shot my head around to him."Doctor, what happened." He checked his chart, and once again cleared his throat. "Well Jane we ran some tests and found that you are expecting not one, not two, but three babies." My mouth dropped faster than I could have said wow. "How can I be expecting triplets.. I am too old to be even be pregnant." Jake moved my hair out of my face, as I became too overwhelmed and passed out, thinking about how my kids are going to take the news.
