Jake ran into the room, and placed the cool towel on my forehead, which felt nice. Luke ran in and pulled Jake away just as another hard contraction took over my whole body. Lauren grabbed my hand, and said "c'mon mom just breath, and try to relax." The contraction passed, and Jake ran back to me. "Janey, there's been some bad news." I tried to sit up, but it hurt. "No ambulance's can come to help bring you to the hospital because their is a terrible storm rolling in." I couldn't believe that I was about to give birth to triplets without a doctor. "Jane, please say something." I just looked him in the eye, and told him that I was not ready for this to happen. "Janey, it is going to be just fine my darling, we are all going to help you with anything you need." I nodded and tried to breathe through another contraction. "Here Lauren, will you help me bring your mother to the bedroom. I think that will be more comfortable and easier if we need to deliver the babies." Jake and Lauren helped pull me up off the couch, and Luke ran up behind me to help as well. Lauren's cell phones rang. Gabby put pillows up, so I would be sitting up. Lauren answered her phone frantically. "Harley, I can't talk now, mom is in Labor and there's a storm out there so nobody can get here. We are all here at home, and dad's car is broken, so we are stuck here." I heard Harley tell Lauren to stay calm and wish me luck. "Luke, I need to to go get a big bowl of hot water, Gabby I need you to go get some towels, and Lauren I need to to get three blankets as well as scissors and a piece of string." They all ran out, leaving Jake and I alone. "Sweetheart, I am sorry that we weren't able to get you to the hospital. But just so you know, I love you and all of our children to the moon and back." I laughed at his cheesy comment, but that quickly ended in the result of another contraction interrupting me yet again. "Janey just breathe. Breathe." I tried but I couldn't. When the pain finally subsided, I was able to lean back into my pillow. "Janey, I tried to call the Doctor and see if he could make it out to the house to help." I sighed, and Jake continued "He told me that he would try to get here, but their was no promises." I closed my eyes and prayed that he would get here in time, not because I don't trust Jake and my kids to deliver the babies. It's the fact that their is three babies to deliver. I read somewhere that when you are in labor with triplets, it is more common to hemorrhage (or lose a lot of blood) and I don't know if my family will be able to handle it.
