Doctor Allan came running in and asked if the children would leave for just a moment, so he could examine me. they all left the room, and Jake placed one special kiss on my forehead. I hoped that this would end soon, so Jake and I can get married in front of our family, and friends. I hope more happiness will come to my family. "Jane, how are you feeling now." I sighed and told Doctor Allan that I was feeling a little bit better, and that I was tickling my kids, and one of them had jabbed my chest. He just laughed and checked my bandages. "Well your stitches aren't popped again, so that's good. there appears to be some slight bruising around it from the jab, but that will heal in time." He fixed the pillow behind me head, so I was sitting at a more comfortable angle. "I am so happy that you are all right." Jake pressed his lips to mine, and put his hand on my still small baby bump. I never wanted this moment to end. "Mommy, can we come in now?" We pulled apart to find all my lovely children peaking their heads through the door. "Of course you guys can." They walked in and sat down on the bed. "Hey mom, do you have time for us to finally give you our gifts now, every time we were going give them to you, something happened." I smiled, and off they ran out the door, and came back in with seven bags of gifts. "You guys, your really shouldn't have." they laughed and handed me a small blue wrapped gift. The note said that it was for me, from Luke. I opened it to find a blue velvet box. Inside was a sapphire necklace, and earring set. "It is beautiful, I love it. Thank you so much darling." He told me that he had found those in New York, right before he came home, almost six months ago. Lauren handed me a huge pink gift wrapped box. On the ribbon it had a label that said "To: my three little siblings, from: their big sister Lauren." I ripped off the wrapping paper so fast, I actually broke a nail. Inside their was a beautiful animal theme mobile. "Mom, press the animal in the center." Lauren told me, and I asked her if I was to press the Polar bear. When I pressed it, a recording started. It was an old recording of myself singing the lullaby that I had sang to all my children, when they were little. "Oh Lauren, you remembered that lullaby from so long ago. Thank you so much." The kids turned around, and I started to yawn, and Jake saw that. "Hey guys, I think we should wait to open the rest of the presents til tomorrow. I think your mom needs some rest." They all agreed, and kissed me goodnight, and left. I snuggled back down to my pillow, "I love you so much my dear." Jake said snuggling into his futon couch, next to me. I fell into a perfect slumber.
