Jake opened the door and Doctor Allan walked in holding my chart. "Good morning Jane. How are you feeling today." I smiled and told him I was ready to go home. He did another ultrasound, and this time I could ACTUALLY see the three babies. I was shocked that it was true, and seeing it made it seem more real than before. Next Doctor Allan looked at my stitches, and found he needed to re-stitch them. "Well Jane, once I finish up here, you are free to go. This time, please take it easy this time. I don't want to have to fix your stitches for a third time." I nodded my head. The Doctor left my room, and Jake helped me sit up, and swung my legs off of the bed. He pulled me up, when I grunted in pain. Jake helped me get dressed, as Jake handed me the crutches. We hobbled out of the room together, and straight to his car. "Jane, when we get home I bought you some special gifts." I laughed, and held my side. "Jane stop laughing, you are going to pop your stitches again and you're going to hurt the babies." I immediately stopped laughing, and reclined my seat and relaxed. I closed my eyes for one second, and the next thing I heard was the radio. "Janey, look where we are." I stirred a bit, and pulled my seat up and noticed that we were driving down my gravel driveway, then I saw my house come into view. I was so happy to be back home. Jake helped me into my house, and he brought me to the living room. We just sat there talking, and talking, and talking. When finally we heard a knock at the door. Jake answered it, and Lauren ran straight into the living room. "Mom, I am so sorry for the way I acted when you told me your were expecting a baby." She pulled me into a loose hug. "Lauren it is just fine, but I wouldn't apologize right now. I am not expecting one baby." Lauren just gave me a blank look. "Wait are you having twins." I closed my eyes and nodded my head. "You're expecting triplets." I nodded my head, and started to cry. Lauren wiped the tears away. "Mom, I am not mad. I am happy for you." my mouth instantly dropped, I was so shocked. "You are not mad, that I am pregnant with three babies." She nodded her head. Jake walked in slowly, holding a silver tray with a bunch of cookies and a but load of choclate. "Here's my two favorite girls, plus three." Lauren and I chuckled, as Jake sat down in between us. "I went out to the bakery, and bought some of your favorite desserts, plus two chocolate croissants." I smiled, and stuffed a oatmeal raisin cookie in his mouth. I was so tired from the day's "festivities" with me coming home, and also Lauren now being happy. "Janey, Lauren." I felt Jake place his hand on my stomach, but didn't wake up. "Janey, I have a surprise for you." I fluttered my eyes open and found I was laying down in my bed. "What time is it?" I asked Jake. He picked me up and brought me to the living room. "Jake, where are we going." I asked as Jake set me down on my one good leg. I gently placed my broken leg down on the ground. I looked up and saw a gift box on the coffee table. Jake helped me walk slowly to the gift box. "Jane you can go ahead and open it." I pulled the top off and gasped. Jake had bought me a mobile for each baby. "Ohhh Jake, they each have all the their siblings on it. The only question I have is how do you know that colors, what if we end up having all girls or all boys." He smiled. "I am guessing, if we find it is easy to fix. trust me. I know I wasn't all that helpful with our other children." I stopped him right their. "You were perfectly helpful the last time." He pulled me into a hug, and I could tell he had tried to make the chocolate croissants because I could smell flour all over his shirt. "Janey, I have something important to ask you."
