Dad!

After I finally go breakfast, I decided I'd show Draco how and IPod works. I pulled him into the den and handed him one of the many IPods scattered around the room.

"Dad gets to preview apple products, before they get released to the public, so us kids get to test out the products for any flaws. Dad uses us as Gina-pigs basically, and sends the good reports back to Apple. So we get all of this cool stuff for free" I explained, and pressed the button at the bottom of my IPod and slid it open. Draco watched me and followed my example. Soon he saw all the apps and looked at me scared.

"Is it going to hurt me?" He asked, dangling it by its case, with two fingers.

"No. But it can take pictures, watch." I announced, then opened my camera. I kissed Draco on the cheek, which made him smirk, and then I quickly leaned my head on his shoulder, smiled, and snapped a picture. I looked at it. Draco was adorable in the picture. I smiled. "That's adorable. That's my new screen saver." I gushed and set it up. Draco looked at me weird.

"How'd you do that?" He asked.

"Magic" I replied, in a sarcastic tone. Draco looked at the screen saver.

"Can I have that?" He asked. I nodded, and pressed the print button, which started up the printer behind us, which scared the crap out of Draco, causing him to jump up and point his wand at the printer. I laughed and stood up.

"Draco. That's a printer. Never has it ever tried to attack anyone. Unless you count paper cuts as an attack." I snickered, and brought his hand down. Draco looked at me scared.

"What does it do?" He asked, keeping his wand at his side. I walked over to it and pulled the very nice, printed copy of the picture I just took, out of the top.

"It prints things... Like this picture..." I announced awkwardly, and handed it to him.

"Oh..." Draco blushed.

"Relax. It's just a machine. Here listen to some music." I announced and plugged ear buds into the IPod he was using and pressed play. I put one in his ear and watched as he jumped in surprise as the song came on. I laughed and shook my head. Draco looked at me sideways and pulled the ear bud out of his ear.

"What am I supposed to do with this?" He asked holding it in his hand.

"Watch me." I announced and put both of the ear buds in my ears. I loved the song that was playing. It was "Lucky Strike" by Maroon 5. I smiled and busted out my best dance moves. He smiled at me and placed his hand on his chin.

"I think I like it better when you show me what to do." Draco announced. I shrugged and continued dancing.

"Works for me." I stated. I took the ear buds out and paused the music. "Clearly you don't like electronics. Let's move on to something a little more your speed." I laughed and dragged him to the living room and sat him down. I got out chess and watched his eyes follow my hands as I set the pieces up. "This is just like wizard chess, all rules apply except you move the pieces with your hands, and they don't slice attack each other." I announced moved a white piece, to show him. Draco nodded and moved a black piece. I shook my head. Draco looked at me and smirked.

"Well, you're going to play aren't you?" Draco asked. I rolled my eyes and moved another piece. Draco thought a moment and moved his second piece. I sighed and shook my head and set my third piece up. Draco smirked and placed his third piece. I yawned and placed my fourth piece.

"Check Mate" I announced, and watched Draco's face drop into a frown.

"How'd you do that?!" Draco asked, completely baffled.

"Haven't you ever heard of the 4 move win?" I snorted. Draco looked at me in pure affection.

"Wow. You're amazing." Draco announced. I shrugged.

"My dad taught me how to play, I just put his tactics to use." I announced. I heard the front door open. I turned to it and squealed. "Dad!" I exclaimed and jumped up to hug him.

"Corrine! What are you doing home, sweetie?" Dad asked giving me a big hug.

"Well, Mom went to the park with everyone else and left Draco and I behind. I just beat Draco with the four move win in chess" I announced. Dad looked behind me and smiled.

"Draco? As in Malfoy?" Dad asked.

"That I am, Mr. Snaproot" Draco replied and got up to greet Dad. Dad shook his hand and looked at me.

"Are you two...?" Dad asked. I nodded. Dad looked back to Draco. "Malfoy, aye? Well, it's a good thing your father and I work in the same place" Dad winked. Draco gulped. Why did Draco gulp.

"You... Do?" Draco asked. Dad nodded.

"I'll show you later." Dad announced, and patted Draco's shoulder. Draco looked to me and then back to Dad.

"Ok" Draco mumbled. I walked over to Draco and kissed his nose.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Peachy" Draco replied, thickly. I raised a brow.

"Alright. If you say so." I shrugged and resumed my place at the chessboard. Draco meanwhile looked like he was focusing really hard, because he zoned out, starring at the coasters on the table. I looked at him concerned and wondered.
