(Back to normal P.O.V)

I heard a knock on my door. I didn't want to see anybody. So in reply I simply turned my back to the door, and continued crying into my pillow. Why did I think I could ever love? Why did I think I was ready? Why hadn't I learned my lesson? There was a knock on my door again.

"Cory? You in there?" asked a voice. I quickly grabbed my wand and opened the door. Bean and Linda walked in. "Oh, Cory." Ben announced, coming to the side of my bed. I sprung up and hugged my cousin, and sobbed into his shoulder.

"Bean I-I don't k-know what happened I-I just walked with him like we planned a-and then we got in a fight, and n-now he h-hates me" I gasped. Ben stroked my hair.

"It's okay, Cory. It's okay. you're going to be alright. calm down" Ben replied, giving me a tight embrace. Man I have such a good cousin. I looked to Linda and motioned her to come over. She sat on my bed and gave me a huge hug.

"I'll curse him into next year, if you'd like. Just say the word." Linda announced, which earned a giggle out of me. I shook my head.

"Violence is never the a-answer you two. Even if it is M-Malfoy." I replied thickly, wiping away my tears. Linda snapped her fingers.

"Darn it. Can I at least bat-bogey hex him?" She asked. I gave her the look of "Really." She nodded. "You're right. Too generic. Hmm. I'll have to learn a special new spell just for that Git." Linda announced putting a finger to her chin, as if to think of all the possibility's.

"Linda," I announced, interrupting her thought flow. "You wonder why people are afraid of you." I finished, finally regaining my normal breathing pattern. She looked at me offended.

"Hey. If they deserve punishment don't think for a second that I won't be the first in line to dish it out." Linda shrugged. I nodded and placed an arm on her shoulder.

"And that is exactly my point." I replied, and stood up to stretch. Ben kissed her on the cheek.

"Hey, that's my girlfriend you're talking to. Show a little respect." Ben announced. I rolled my eyes.

"Yes mother" I stated sarcastically, which earned a death glare from Ben and a laugh from Linda. It was quiet after that, until Linda snorted.

"We saw Pansy down there. Good work there." Linda announced, which made Ben laugh. I laughed too.

"The pug had it coming to her. It was only a matter of time." I announced. Ben laughed harder.

"Now you're starting to think like a Slytherin!" He stated. Linda laughed too.

"You'd be a riot if you had gotten sorted into Hufflepuff with me and Bean here! Everyone would love you!" Linda announced. I nodded.

"I think I would have liked that." I stated. I thought for a moment. "Honestly I think I would have liked anything at this point." I finished. Ben and Linda nodded. All was silent again.

"Should we expect you for dinner, Cory?" Ben asked. I shook my head.

"Don't want to risk it with Malfoy." I explained. The two nodded and headed out the door.

"I'll come by tomorrow to wake you up if you want. It is the weekend after all, Cousin." Ben announced. I nodded.

"I think I'd like that very much Cousin Beanie. Goodnight you two Hufflepuffs. Beware of the dog on your way out." I replied, as they shut the door, which earned a laugh from both. Then I turned out the light and fell into a dreamless sleep.

"Cory. Cory. Cousin Cory. Don't make me tickle you." I heard a voice say. I groaned.
