The Cuts Are Deeper Then They Seem

The next few weeks were pure torture. Draco and Pansy joined Umbridge and her Inquisitorial Squad, making Pansy higher authority. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been to Myrtles Loo, trying to calm myself, because pansy made me bleed from all the cuts she's given me, just because. I don't see Draco much anymore, and it hurts. This would be the fourth time I walked myself to Myrtles Loo, today. I finally just started carrying around Snaproot Serum with me, to heal the cuts, so nobody got suspicious. Not that anyone didn't have a reason to be. Umbridge has enforced so many rules, it's hard not to break on just because you're breathing. But as far as Umbridge knows, I'm a little angel, who follows all the rules and doesn't need punishment. Pansy has a different idea though. I winced in pain as I cleaned out my fresh cuts, and put a drop of Snaproot Serum on each. It seems the only person that I can talk to is professor Snape. I go to his classroom to get a refill of Snaproot Serum, so that I have something to heal myself.

"Corrine, this pasted punishment when she cut you that first time. This is physical abuse." Myrtle announced.

"I know Myrtle. But it's better to keep quiet and not complain. It could be worse. And besides, it's only two more months till summer anyway." I announced, wiping off my now repaired skin.

"If you make it that long. You need to tell someone." Myrtle told me.

"I did! I told you didn't I? Look. I can't risk telling anyone else. It would worry to many people." I explained, looking at my arms, now cut less. "I gotta go if I'm going to be on time to Umbridges class. I do T.A." I announced, pointing at my green T.A. Badge on my chest.

"Be safe, Corrine." Myrtle announced. I nodded.

"I'll do my best." I replied, and scurried out the door. I walked down the winding halls on my way to Umbridges class. But I was stopped about half way, by Pansy. And she was furious.

"How do you keep healing yourself so quickly?!" Pansy asked. I looked to the floor and clenched my jaw and fists, to resist grabbing my wand from my pocket. "I swear, after I'm done with you, Draco won't even want to be associated with witch scum like you!" Pansy cackled.

"Pansy. I don't know what I did to make you so upset, but just know I'm sorry and that I forgive you." I announced calmly. Pansy advanced and raised her wand.

"You stole Draco from me. And that's all the reason I need to destroy you!" Pansy boomed. She was about to preform a spell and I turned my head and prepare my body for impact. But it never came. Pansy was stunned in place. Not by a spell. But by something behind me. I turned and looked. There was Draco, with the most scared look on his face, with Blaze, Crabbe, and Goyle behind him. Pansy snapped into action, immediately acting as if I had done something horrible to her.
"Help me! She's wounded me!" Pansy screeched. I looked to Draco, petrified. I was being framed. I shook my head.

"No. No. I didn't... I didn't move... I didn't do anything." I croaked. Draco looked at Pansy on the floor and brushed past me.

"Pansy, where did she get you?" Draco asked. I put my hands over my mouth.

"No. I-I didn't. Draco. I didn't lift a finger." I pleaded, starting to get teary eyed.

"LIAR! She struck me!" Pansy squealed.

"No. I-I didn't." I stuttered. Draco looked from me to Pansy. Then he helped her up and examined her.

"You seem fine, Pansy." Draco commented.

"She is a demon, Draco! What do you see in her? She is a criminal!" Pansy screeched. I backed up a bit, and started to cry.

"B-but... I didn't..." I gulped, shaking my head.
