I looked at Draco's features. His eyes, once full of joy, we're now blood shot, and full of pain and fear, as if he had been crying a lot since I saw him last. And judging by the tears streaming out of his eyes, and inconstant breathing patterns, that would spike up so bad he would cough and hyperventilate before he got a breathe in his lungs, I could tell he had been doing just that.
"Leave him alone! Can't you see he can't breathe?!" I asked rushing to Draco's side. I forced Ben and Linda to drop his arms, in hope that I could help. "Draco. Draco calm down. In through you nose out through your mouth." I prompted, holding his hands above his head. Draco would take short breaths in through his nose, and end up coughing as a result. I panicked and pulled out my wand. "Anapneo" I announced, which cleared Draco's throat, allowing him to breath a little easier. When Draco finally drew in deep breaths through his nose, I calmed down. "Thank Godrick." I announced, then turned to Ben and Linda, glaring at them. "Why in the world is he hyperventilating?!" I shouted.
"Cory, calm down and let us explain-"
"Why is he crying? What did you do to him?" I asked.
"That Git deserves worse then what he's facing right now!" Ben shouted. I looked to Draco who was still having a lot of trouble breathing.
"Just concentrate on breathing, okay?" I asked. He nodded, and I turned back to Ben and Linda. "Anyone care to explain why my boyfriend is on the ground crying and barely breathing?" I asked. Ben and Linda, noticeably cringed when I said boyfriend. I widened my eyes. Linda and Ben wouldn't cringe at a word unless it hurt them. "Bean. Linda. What did he do?" I asked, calmly.
"Hey, Malfoy. Care to explain what you did that pissed us off so badly?" Linda asked.
"No. Please." Draco croaked. I looked to all of them in confusion.
"Tell her. Now. Tell her the truth." Linda commanded. Tears started pouring out of Draco's eyes, and he couldn't seem too stop himself.
"I told Goyle to put emotion prone potion in your punch, then before I apologized to you I drank a crying potion. I was afraid you wouldn't take me back without a little push." Draco practically choked out. It was as if he couldn't stop it. I gasped and stepped back a few steps, covering my mouth. No. Draco wouldn't have done that. Not the Draco I know. He must be lying to cover someone else's tracks.
"You're lying. You have to be lying." I replied, I looked to Ben. "Tell me he's lying!" I begged, not wanting to believe Draco's words.
"It's hard to lie to someone when you've ingested a donut injected with truth telling potion." Linda announced, softly. I widened my eyes, still not wanting to believe a word.
"No. No. He wouldn't. He wouldn't." I whispered, tears streaming down my face.
"Cory, you have to understand how hard it was for us to come tell you-"
"That's just the thing, Bean! You didn't tell me! Nether of you did! You forced him to!" I shouted, in a raspy voice, and pointed at Draco, who at this point was behind me.
"Corrine, please understand, we are hurt by this, just as much as you are. We know what you're going through." Linda announced.
"No! No you're not! None of you have any idea what I've been going through for the past year! You can't possibly know a fraction of the pain or suffering I'm going through!" I yelled, letting my anger get the best of me. I could feel every part of me bubble up in pure furry. I could feel my face turning red in frustration. And it burned.
"Corrine, calm down. We realize your under a lot of pressure and stress, and add this to it doesn't make the load any lighter to carry. But we couldn't just sit around letting that Git lead you to believe he was being sincere about his apology. We were just trying to protect you." Linda announced, calmly. I couldn't take it anymore. I sprinted off to... Anywhere at this point, eyes covered. I really didn't realize I was running in any direction, until I rammed right it a tree. I fell on my back and yelped in pain and surprise. I was dizzy and laid there a second, trying to regain control over myself. I starred up at the spinning sky till it wasn't spinning anymore. I sat up and groaned. That will teach me to not run while covering my eyes. I looked to my pocket and saw a very shaken Bimbo, peaking out of it. He was alright. I heaved a sigh of relief. But suddenly a tree branch thrusted itself down at me. I was nearly clobbered, but barely escaped sudden death, yelping and jumping out of the way, just as the branch came in contact with where I had once been. I then realized what tree I had run into, and choked down a scream of bloody murder, that was moments from escaping my mouth, by the feel of it. The Wompping willow. That's the tree I rammed into. It seems I was just begging for a death wish, to any other witch or wizard. But I sure in bloody hell, was not trying to get myself killed. Other Tree branch came slamming down above me, nearly hitting my head, if I didn't have such fast reflexes. But on the third branch that came hurtling at me, I wasn't so lucky. It hit me square in the stomach, and and a fourth hit my spine, knocking me, clear to the ground. If I wasn't screaming in pain before this point, I had to have been now. My lungs and ribs threatened to burst at any moment, they hurt so bad. Then just as a fifth branch was about to make contact with my helpless body, I was swooped out of place, an arm wrapped under my ribs, quickly getting me out of harms way. I really don't remember anything else, except the pain I felt during all that chaos. All I knew is that I was now in the hospital wing, by the looks of it. And I was in severe pain.
