I woke up and groaned. Why did school have to start today? I, me. I rose from my bed, hurriedly getting my robes on, and then grabbing my satchel with everything I needed for classes, inside.

I walked down to the common room, finishing up collecting everything I might need for the first day. I checked my satchel one more time, to make sure I had EVERYTHING. Then continued on my way to the dining room for some breakfast. But abruptly, I was shoved against the wall. I dropped my satchel and everything spilled out. I moaned. Of course I would be that girl. The girl that is picked on even through her biggest attempts to fit in. I started to pick up all my items and stuff them in my satchel. I got some help from a blonde haired boy that I knew relatively well at this point. I sighed.

"Good Morning, Draco" I greeted. He nodded.

"Good Morning, Corrine, Breakfast?" Draco asked, once all my items were back in my satchel. He offered his arm again, like he had yesterday. Of course I accepted his offer, and away we walked to the dining room. I watched as many Slytherin girls jealousy scowled at me as I walked with Draco. I blushed.
"Um... Draco... I can't help but notice... Why is everyone starring at you?"

"Believe me they are not starring at me" Draco announced. Furred my brow trying to figure out what everybody would be starring at. When I realized it was me I blushed. Draco laughed.

"You okay, Corrine? You look like you could cool off" Draco mocked.

"Just get me down to breakfast before I get anymore red." I stated. He smirked. I guess he found this amusing. After what seemed like forever, we got down to the dining room. Or course Draco sat next to me to make matters worse. I poured myself pumpkin juice and gulped it down, the same way Draco had yesterday. Soon I didn't feel as hot around my face. I looked to Draco. "Am I... Do I... Is there...?" I asked. Draco shook his head for a second, but stopped.

"Yeah... A little..." He smirked. I blushed again.

"Where Draco?" I asked. He lifted his hand to my face.

"Right here... And here... And a little right here" Draco announced, tracing my cheeks, first my right then my left, and then he tapped my nose. I smiled. He had such a delicate touch. I calmed down and ate my breakfast. Then took off to first period. Draco quickly saw this and scurried after me. "You have first period Trasfiguration... Right?" Draco asked, once he caught up. I nodded. He smirked. "Then I better inform you, you're going the wrong way" he replied.

"I-I am?" I stammered. He nodded.

"Follow me." He stated, and grabbed my arm. Hesitation surged it's way through my body. I was almost positive I was going the right way. But Draco seemed more sure of himself then I did. So I followed after him. We made it to transfiguration just in the nick of time. I walked in the class room and looked around. The whole class was nearly full. Except for two empty seats, on by a brunette haired Gryffindor in the front, and another in the back. Being the good student I was, I walked to the seat in the front.

"Uh... Is this seat taken?" I asked the girl. She smiled at me.

"No, you can sit" she replied. I smiled and sat. Then got out my Trasfiguration book, my enchanted quill and a few pieces of parchment. I looked at the girl next to me.

"I'm Corrine... But you probably already knew that..." I announced sheepishly. She grinned.

"I'm Hermione, this is Harry, and that's Ron, welcome to Hogwarts" Hermione stated. I gulped.

"You're Hermione? As in Hermione Granger?" I asked.

"That's me" she replied.

"I hear you have the top grades of the class. You are a legend. I hope you don't mind me asking, but... Well... I was told by Professor Snape that you'd make an excellent study buddy-"

"Sure, I think it would be nice for a little change in scenery, what do you say to studying in the library during free period?" She asked. I smiled.

"Sounds great" I replied. Then I remembered what Draco said about her. "Uh... I was also told by... A friend that I should probably stay away from trouble..." I stated, purposely leaving out the part about how that friend was Draco, and that Hermione was the trouble I should stay away from.

"Smart friend, trouble is anywhere at this point, I suggest just minding your own business, and I wouldn't suggest hanging out with Draco Malfoy to often." Hermione replied. I gulped. They really did hate each other.

"Why not?" I asked. She looked at me as if I was delusional.

"Draco Malfoy is a bad person, he's not  the best influence to be around, especially when it comes to grades." She replied.

"Oh... Right..." I commented. And with that, class started.
