I Just Don't Have The Strength Right Now

I avoided Draco the rest of the week, and if I did have to talk to him I'd say a few brief words and the follow it by mumbling under my breath something like,
"Allez vous faire foutre" or "Je ne peux pas vous tiens , tête de merde"
Which would only make Hermione, who sat next to me, snicker. I know he wanted my attention, because I couldn't go to a meal without Draco throwing or chucking or flinging some kind of food at me to stain my robes. I'd have to eat quickly, before Draco had a chance to serve up on food, and exit by the time he was settled. It was exhausting. And to make matters worse he was just as annoying during classes and when I hung out in the common room during free period. The one part of the day I had to myself, was when I was literally the only kid on campus who didn't have a class 4th period. I am working on finding a safe haven so I have a place to go without getting bombarded with Draco and his stupid nubbs. I find that the only place I can go is the Owl Infirmary. I could sit up there for hours if I had them. I don't have and Owl of my own... But I know each of the names of all the school Owls plus my family Owl. My favorite school Owl went by the name of Midnight. She had black feathers and Green eyes, much like mine. She reminded me of myself. I was up in the Owl Infirmary one day, avoiding Draco, and playing my pocket pan(a small pocket size flute) like usual, when Midnight brought me a note.

Hi, you don't know me, but I hear your music every day outside the window, it's literally the only thing that keeps me awake in this class, but... I only faintly hear it. You wouldn't mind playing a little louder would you?
- Call me Quill Pal

I smiled. For the first time in a week I smiled. I wrote back.

Hi there Quill Pal,
Call me Pan Player, I would love to play louder for your amusement, but you see... It's a small flute that I play, so you'd be hearing what sounds like a Owl in labor while having accidentally opened a howler, instead of the soothing sounds of my flute. It wouldn't be such a problem if I knew how to climb to the window, but alas, I don't, so I've struck a crisis. I will move closer to the window so you can hear me a little better however. Happy studying.
-Pan Player

I attached my response to Midnights foot and sent her off to find the one that calls them-self Quill Pal. I then moved closer to the window and continued to play my little flute, now knowing I had an audience. Within 5 minutes of me sending the letter I got a response.

Pan Player,
Might I have the pleasure of knowing your name? You make such wonderful music and I'd hate not be able to give credit to such a musician like yourself. I could listen to you play that flute all day. I much sooner fail this class then never hear your music again.
- Quill pal

I smiled again. And wrote back.

Quill Pal,
I shall not give you my name, I will give you my house, and gender.
I am a Slytherin and I am a girl. There. Now its your turn Quill Pal. Don't disappoint me.
- Pan Player

I attached the note and sighed as I continued to play my sweet music. Then Midnight returned.

Pan Player,
Wow, you're a Slytherin too? That's incredible. How come I never hear you play your music? It lightens the mood. I think it would be cool to hear in the house.
- Quill Pal

I gasped. I hope to meet this person.

Quill Pal,
Playing my Pan is more of a dark hobby of mine. I like to play to relive stress. And up until recently I haven't had any stress to relive. I didn't know I had a spectator until today, and it's nice to know someone enjoys my tunes. Maybe some day I'll be able to play in front of an audience. But I Just Don't Have The Strength Right Now. I've been starving for a week now, and can barely make it to a meal without it ending up on me first. I'd like to play gleefully, but right now that really isn't an option. Thanks again for listening, I should have a Quill Pal more often.
-Pan Player

I attached the note and continued on with my melody. After what seemed like seconds I got a reply.

Pan Player,
I'm sorry to hear that. I could bring you something to eat if you'd like. I have a free period next. I'd really to meet you and hear you play for myself.
-Quill Pal

I smiled.

Quill pal,
That's a sweet gesture, but I can't ask you to do that for me. Besides, I'll be off before you can find me, all you can do is hear me every day until your class ends. But You'll always hear me and know I'm here. I wouldn't waste your time on a girl like me. I'm practically a no one.
-Pan Player

I sent it with Midnight and continued where I left off. Until I got yet another response, moments later.

Pan Player,
We'll see about who gets to who first, see you in a minute and a half.
-Quill Pal

I smiled yet again.

Quill Pal,
I'm already gone, notice that I haven't been playing? Haha.
-Pan Player

And with that I ran off down to the lake.
