On the twenty-second day of Christmas, the Yogscast gave to me,

A Third-Wheeling Competition - Zoey Proasheck(Zoeya), Fiona Riches(Saberial), Joakim Hellstrand(Rythian)

You and Joakim - Rythian - had been lumbering about following after the love-struck couple of Zoey and Fiona for a while now, listening to their sickeningly love-struck giggling and watching their hand holding and honestly wondering why on earth they even invited the two of you out with them. It was great though, having Rythian here and getting to spend some time with him without a Skype call, and he didn't look anything like you except, he looked - instead - dramatically better.

But spending time with the Blackrock Chronicles plus one, in your head at least, didn't stand for being terribly home sick and wondering when you'd finally just find somewhere to sit and talk for a while. You had been trotting after them round the same block several times and every single time the couple ahead pointed out all the prettier houses with their gorgeous decorations while you and Rythian grunted and nodded along, at first rather happily, but now it was just getting out of hand.

"Hey, guys, we could try this café that I went to on Kim's birthday, it was really nice and the drinks were really good," you finally suggested through a huff as your breath cascaded out a puff of vapour that swirled in your face before vanishing - it was getting colder and colder the longer you spent time out here and you were honestly getting tired of it with aching legs and terribly wind-blown hair.

"That sounds good," Rythian said suddenly in a perky tone, as though the offer of going inside was the best prospect ever.

Fiona waved a dismissing hand, before wrapping it around Zoey's waist and pulling her close, allowing Zoey to rest her head on top of her girlfriend's. You had sense them renacted this position so many times it was getting more frustrating then cute, especially when the frustration didn't warm up your numb fingers and even stomping with every step refused to keep your toes from frosting over.

"Come on guys, we've been walking for ages, the café is only just around that corner," you said pointedly, gesturing widely with your hands before regretting it and hastily stuffing them back inside your coat pockets.

"You guys can go in if you want, we'll continue walking though," Fiona answered you, her voice muffled against Zoey's coat but that didn't stop the spurt of joy that shot through you. You grabbed at Rythian's hand and tugged him away and across the road from the two of them as they met in a kiss.

"See you lovebirds later yeah?" you called over your shoulder, Zoey gave you a thumbs up and pulled Fiona away from the road and again back around the corner of the block of houses, no doubt to redo their entire ritual all over again. You let out a contented sigh and pushed open the door of the café, again hearing the gentle ringing of the bell above you and letting the sudden warmth encase you in a massive hug. The pictures were still on the walls and the waiters were still mingling in a happy circle with crinkled eyed laughter, their were several more people in here compared to last time but that didn't mean there wasn't spaces. The café was like a room in the T.A.R.D.I.S, so much bigger in the inside then it was on the outside.

Rythian let out a hum of interest and you watched as his eyes scanned over the room much like yours hand the first time you'd been in here, "this place is cool."

"Yeah, come on, that's the table we sat on last time," you explained, taking your place on it while Rythian sat the other side, tapping his fingers against the wood of the table in some complex beat, his mouth moving as though singing a silent song in his head and his fingers acting as though it was a piano underneath them and not a table. You watched for a while, mesmerised almost, letting the blur of people talking in the background fade into white noise.

"How many times have you been ditched by Zoey and Fiona then?" Rythian asked, raising an eyebrow and your attention switched from his 'musical talent' to his voice.

"Enough times to know that third-wheeling is a thing around them, even if Kim's series all they did was flirt most of them time," you sighed, laughing a little along with Rythian who rolled his eyes a little.

"I'm still glad they found each other," Rythian said, smiling a little to himself as though he was proud dad, it almost reminded you of Lewis during a certain karaoke stream, he then added, "even if they do get too caught up in each other most of the time."

You nodded in agreement, "boy do they do that. You know one time they invited me out to dinner with them and spent the whole time feeding each other and then just sending me to refill they're drinks." Rythian let out a snort of laughter.

"That's nothing, I was with them on new years eve and during the countdown they had ran off somewhere, I went to find them and they're they were just snogging before it had even hit zero," he told you, it was your turn to give a half-sympathetic, half-glad-you-weren't-in-that-situation laugh.

"Looks it's a third-wheeling competition Mr Hellstrand." you told him, waggling a finger at him while he scoffed and face-palmed.

"You pronounced that so wrong but never mind," he told you causing you to roll your eyes, "I'll buy the drinks and let the competition start Miss Wells." You waved your hand and watched him as he ambled up the counter and ordered - as though reading your mind - two frothy, perfectly whipped hot chocolates that were steaming out with dancing warmth like dolphin's diving out of the drink.

"Wanna go first?" you offered to him, taking a sip of your drink and he clicked his knuckles preparingly.

"Alright then, once I was out with them at a party, I knew no-one there except the host, Zoey and Fiona, of course, Zoey's not really one for big parties and stuff so me and Fiona - what was meant to be me and Fiona - kept her company for most of the night, I offered to go get them drinks and when I came back they had disappeared, went to find them again they were stood outside dancing together to the music from inside I put their drinks of the outside steps and had to wait for them to stop before we could all go back inside." he said, puffing out his chest as though somehow proud of that story, you laughed, shaking your head.

"The things we do for friends," you told him.

"The things they do for love," Rythian told you.

Sorry for a super short + late one on you, I had only prewritten up to 20 so I had no idea to do with the ones between then and Christmas day other then the ross date. But watching the karaoke and seeing Rythian bust it out with that epic rap I had to include him in another one of these. I do love the adorable guy and his girlfriend is super lucky.
