Dean's POV
After nearly 17 hours of driving and 5 hours of sleep, we finally reach Bobby's place. I wasn't sure what I was expecting- to see other hunters waiting for us or not, but when we pulled into the lot, all was normal and no other visitors were in sight.
"You think Bobby found us a hunter?" I asked Sam.
When I got no reply, I glanced over at Sam and saw him hunched over and leaning against the window. I parked Baby then grabbed the plastic spoon that was leftover from lunch earlier today. I slowly moved the spoon into Sams gaping mouth then let go, letting it hang out of his mouth.
Oh, this is going to be so good.
After getting my phone out and snapping a picture, I turned the radio on and blared Highway to Hell. Sam then jumped up, whacking his head on the window, all the while the spoon still in his mouth. I let out a laugh as Sam grasps the spoon in his hand, and after realizing what I did to him, he throws it at my face. He then forcefully turns off the radio and sends me his signature bitch face.
"Sammy, I told you not to fall asleep," I get out between laughs.
"Dean, you just started another prank war. I told you not to and you promised after the last one to stop, and you just started again. So great job."
I only laugh and get out of the car, still laughing as we walk up to Bobby's porch. Sam is still giving me a glare but what the hell, we gotta live a little.
I open Bobby's door and enter the house. "Bobby, we're here!"
He calls out from the study and we meet him in there, along with his endless amounts of stacks of books. I have no idea how he stays here all day. I'd go insane. Sammy is enough for me.
"Hey boys," Bobby says as he stands up from his chair. He hugs both of us and we all head to the kitchen, where Bobby hands us both beers. Bobby and Sam sit at the table and I lean up against the counter, cracking open my beer.
"Bad news. There aren't any hunters on call right now. The ones I got in contact with are either working cases right now or taking a leave for injuries."
"So what should we do. We can't just go by ourselves, we'd get killed. And waiting any longer isn't going to save anyone. Seven people have died in almost three weeks, we can't afford to put this case off."
"I know. I've tried all my contacts. I just can't think of anyone else who you boys could work with."
A long silence follows as we all sit in deep thought. We can't just drop this case. We need to take action soon, but there is no way Sam and I could take this job on alone. Even with Bobby's help, a pack of Wendigos could easily take us down.
The silence is only broken when Bobby asks, "What's with you Sam, you seem quiet. Quieter than usual." Bobby sends Sam a somewhat concerned glance while I just let out a laugh. Sam glares at me over Bobby's shoulder.
"Nothing's wrong, Bobby," Sam replies, "Dean has only started world war three and he is going to pay."
"You boys haven't been pranking each other again, have you," Bobby asks accusingly. When he receives no reply, he forcefully puts his beer on the table and gives each of us an exasperated look. "You boys are a bunch of idjits." Bobby then grabs his beer again and takes a long swig. "No pranking in my house. Last time you did, I had to get John to get you boys to alphabetize Latin documents for six hours, and both you boys sucked at it." Bobby then gets up and heads back to the study to work on the problem at hand.
"Hear that, Sammy? No pranking in the house." I send Sam a smirk and follow Bobby back to the study. Sam follows in tow, but not before whacking me on the back of the head.
