Jackie,

This is perhaps the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my whole life. There is no way to tell you everything I need to with only a paper and a pen, but I guess I'll have to do my best.

If you're reading this, that means something has happened and I'm not with you anymore. I trust that you will read this carefully, but more importantly understand what I am about to tell you.

Jackie, when you were born, your mother and I both agreed to put this life behind us. We never intended for you to get sucked up in this crazy world. But when your mother died, I couldn't help myself from feeling that you would be so unprotected, so helpless if something were to happen.

And something did happen, I just never realized it did until it was too late. That night, when your mother died, you were so young. I doubt you even remember what happened. But I have never forgotten a single detail.

That man, the one who took her from us, he was no man. Jackie, he was a monster, one who will never be satisfied no matter what he takes.

I knew this over the years I taught you to hunt, as we hunted for him.

You see, he wasn't done with us, Jackie. He wasn't done with you. I refused to accept this fact, but I kept on training you harder and harder, because I'm sure I did deep down inside.
