Jackie's POV

My fingers tighten around the phone as I plead for Dean's help. "Dean! Can you hear me?"

From the other side of the building, a chorus of bangs ring out, followed by shuffling. The dirt on the ground beneath me would have made the same muffled noise if I had moved my own two feet.

Dean's voice, laced heavily with worry and panic, comes through the static. "Hey, Jack, Sam's got your location so we're-"

"Shh!" I whisper harshly, preventing him from talking any further. I shove my phone's speaker against my side in order to muffle any noise coming from it. The fresh silence to overcomes me, and I listen intently for any noise in the distance. Again, I hear the sound echoing off the walls and highlighting the whispers of what sounds like men.

I bring the phone back up to my ear.

"There's someone else here." Making sure to whisper into the phone, I keep both ears attentive, one on Dean, the other on my surroundings. The ear against the phone picks up static and only that. The noise seems excruciatingly loud even as it sits on the lowest volume level. Scared whoever was in here would here it, too, I shove it back against my shirt.

I peak out from behind the stack of wooden crates I had been hiding behind. Instead of finding the pitch dark I was expecting, I see a faded, blue light come from around the corner, lighting up the room. A second later, a dark figure enters the light, and the outline of a man appears.

The man is soon joined by two others.

The blue light seemed to be projected from the figure in front. It lit up each of the three men, giving way to the most astonishing sight I had ever seen. Three pairs of elegant wings are cast as shadows on the wall behind them, overtaking the entirety of the surface. Astonishing, overpowering, and glowing in all of their glory, I could only think of one creature that had wings like that.

These men weren't just men. They were angels. And the one in front? I'd be willing to bet it was Azrael. As to whom he was with, I didn't want to know.

When the three begin moving my way, I throw my body back behind a stack of crates hopelessly. Its useless, I know I can't hide from them, but it's a reaction.

"Azrael!" I whisper into the phone frantically, bringing it up close to my mouth. "It's Azrael!" I don't have the chance to elaborate before the phone leaves my hand, flying into the wall. It's clear that the phone would be of no more use to me as I see it fall to the ground in two pieces. With my heart seeming to shatter in the same matter, I'm shoved into a wall. My head smacks into metal without me being able to stop it.

A middle aged man grabs my jacket with both of his hands. His face, too close to mine for comfort, gives me a menacing glare. "You bitch. Can't even stay quiet for two minutes." Before I can stop it, he rams his knee into my stomach and I double over. Letting go of me, I slide down the wall.

"Sariel," Azrael's figure appears above me, hardly more than a shadow. "Enough."

The man, Sariel, backs off and leaves me on the ground. "If you are incapable of following orders, you should have stayed back in heaven. Perhaps you would have been of some use there." Azrael sends a dark look to Sariel as he speaks and Sariel doesn't dare counter back. He only responds with a "yes, sir."

Still on the ground and holding my stomach, I look up and watch as the men converse. Azrael soon sends the two angels back a few strides, giving us space, then turns back to me.

He gently looks down at me, and upon realizing I wasn't going to get up any time soon, he squats in front of me. "Hello, Jackie."

I don't answer his friendly greeting. After a moment, he tries again. "You shouldn't have called Dean. He can't do anything except get him and his brother into trouble."
