Jackie's POV
Dean, Sam and I quickly run around the corner back into the study only to find a tussled up Castiel leaning against Bobby's desk.
"Cas!" Sam and I say. He looks up with his usual blank stare.
"Cas, where the hell have you been? We thought you were dead! I've been praying to you all day-" Dean practically yells.
"Dean, you know I always come when you call-" Cas interjects.
"Well then where the hell were you? Obviously you weren't dead, so- "
"Would you two quit arguing like an old married couple?" Bobby finally interrupts. "I'm sure Cas has a good explanation, one that we'd all like to hear."
Dean hits his fists against his sides but stays quiet. Castiel, who is still in his slightly disoriented state, stands up taller and straightens out his coat, but leaves his tie hanging loose.
Sam and I take our places on the couch again, and Bobby continues to sit at his desk. Dean resumes his aggrivated pacing.
"I heard your calls, each one of them, Dean. Yours too, Sam."
"Cas, are you okay?" I ask, worried about what had happened after Azrael's sent him away. "I thought you were dead- you basically... You should be dead!"
"I assure you, my physical state is not of concern at the moment, Jackie. Azrael is an archangel, we should be concerned about what he is capable of." Castiel pauses, and I can tell I'm not the only one in the room that grows weary of what he has to say. "Azrael sent me away through the use of his powers. Most archangels have this ability, but what concerns me is that he sent me back to heaven."
"He sent you to heaven? What's so bad about that?" Sam asks.
"It requires an extravagant amount of power to send an angel back to heaven. Heaven is our home, but we can only reach it through the use of our own grace. Without our grace, we are essentially grounded. His ability makes me question just how strong his own grace is, even if he is an archangel."
"So... what? You were stuck in heaven?" Dean asks, confused.
"When the Garrison found me stuck in one of the locked cells, they had questions. Azrael knew exactly where to put me, I presume."
"Okay, so what all did you tell them? If I know anything about those cocky bastards, it's that they don't do anything without anything in return. They let you out of the cell, what'd you have to do for them?" Bobby adds in.
"I told them what information was necessary," Cas states plainly.
"So everything?" I ask, nervous for his answer. "Or nothing?"
"I felt it was necessary to hide some... details."
"So you lied?" I conclude.
"I did not lie."
"Then what did you do?" I say, crossing my arms over my chest and looking up to the angel.
"I gave them information on Azrael's whereabouts, intentions... things of that sort."
"Did you say anything about Jackie?" Bobby asks. "If you did, those douche wads are going to be all over her for the rest of her life."
"Wait, why?" I sit up taller on the couch, my breath catching in my throat. Until a week ago, I hadn't even known angels existed. So, their ways of life are still confusing to me, especially those concerning the Garrison. "Castiel, what'd you tell them?"
"Of course I didn't." Castiel say in response to Bobby. He gives us all looks like we should be ashamed we doubted him. I ignore it and sit back into the couch, catching my breath again.
