Jackie's POV
We all meet up at the impala outside the diner and since Dean would be going with Garth, Dean hands Sam the keys. "Don't crash her, don't scratch her, don't-"
"Okay yes, Dean, I know. Why don't you just let Jackie drive? Seems like you'd lessen the death threats if she-"
"No."
"Hey, as long as it's not stick shift, I got this," I say, clapping my hands together.
"No," he tells us both, pointing a finger. "Now get going."
Dean starts walking away towards Garth's run down truck, with Garth in tow muttering something about an unhealthy obsession over an inanimate object.
Sam and I both got in quickly and soon we were well on our way to the hospital where we were to meet up with a coroner. There, we'd get a good look at the case, and see what really happened to my father.
The whole drive there, I mentally prepare myself for my job. I have to admit, this whole day I've been doing a decent job bottling up the emotional wreck that is surging inside of me, and I just hope I can keep it at bay as long as I have to.
One town over, we reach the street where the hospital stands. We had stopped at a gas station before we reached our destination to change into our regular FBI getups. As I waited for Sam to finish up tying his tie as we stand in the parking lot of the hospital, I rummaged through my bag in the trunk in search of my fake badge.
This time, I would be posing as Agent Andrea Sharman. Sent on an investigation of homicide and arson.
"Ready?" Sam asks. I close the trunk and shove my badge into my black jacket.
"Yeah." I start walking but stop once Sam catches my arm.
"If you want to leave at any time-"
"Sam, I got this same speech from Dean. I don't think you guys understand- I have to do this. You boys and Garth, you don't even need to be here, its my dad, my case. And this case isn't just another case, and it clearly doesn't feel like one. So I'll tell you what I told Dean. I'm not backing out of this."
Sam let's go of my arm once I finish. "Okay, just promise me you're not going to just shove everything down and not deal with it. Please, just don't do that."
"Sam, I'm trying to deal with one thing at a time. Once I figure everything out I'll straighten myself out as well, I promise."
Sam gives me a nod in understanding and we finally enter the building. We make our way up to the section of the building we were told to report to when Sam called in earlier.
Standing in the elevator, I nervously straighten out my black pencil skirt, flatten my tucked in shirt and mess around with my hair. I can tell Sam notices my agitated state but he doesn't say anything.
On the third floor we step out and walk up to the desk. Sam introduces us to the receptionist.
"Uh good afternoon, I'm special agent Johnson, this is my partner agent Sharman." We both flash our badges to the lady who stares at us through her glasses. "I called in earlier, we are supposed to meet with Dr. Jay."
"Dr. Jay's office is down the hall to the left, room C103," she tells us in a quiet voice.
Thanking her, we head down the hall and upon reaching the door, knock and wait for Dr. Jay to answer.
The door opens up after a moment and were greeted by an older, tall man.
"Agents, I presume?" He asks.
