'Mary-Sue, Gary-Lou' cliché
If you haven't heard of a Mary-Sue character before, its basically a flawless character. A beautiful one (though tells herself she's ugly and needs a boy to remind her she's not). Boy's throw themselves at her, and the 'mean girls' are SO jealous of her. She is lucky, and her if she has a single 'flaw', its being clumsy. :Shudder: Yup....
A Gary-Lou is the male version of that.
Please, at all times, REFRAIN yourself from using a Mary-Sue/Gary-Lou character--Why not write a story about that acne-ridden, surly guy who serves you at the movie theater, and how he meets an overweight KFC worker? I would DEFINITELY pay to read that!

(If its over 50% Mary-Sue, remember to burn your character and replaced him/her with a flawed one!)
