'Time flies' cliché
Ok, I'll show you an example of this cliché: if you guess it, you get an online cookie!
I entered the classroom just as the bell rang. I took my usual seat, and this time I wasn't surprised when Ryder sat next to me.
"I leave you for just one second, and you get even more beautiful," he says, winking at me.
I rolled my eyes. "I told you, Ryder, I'm not going to fall for you."
"Yeah, you're not going to fall for me..." he paused, and I actually thought he would get my message into his thick skull. "Cos' you already have."
I was unbelievably annoyed. He just didn't get it!
Luckily the bell rang, and I exited the classroom before I did something outrageous, like sticking a knife in his handsome abs.
If you got it, good for you! If you didn't, I'll tell you.
They had a conversation that lasted about one minute; 35 words. Yet the school bell rang conveniently, because she doesn't need to attend/pay attention to her English class; Ryder's rich, when they get married she'll have a mansion all to herself, with unlimited money!
...Oops, sorry, I just spoiled the end!!
Anyway, class lasts from 45 minutes to a couple hours, not one minute. Life isn't the convenient.
