Chapter 18: The Last of Trigon

Raven's POV:

I sensed that Beast Boy had been taken by Trigon, so I opened up the portal in my room, and entered the underworld. I saw Trigon smirking at me, and I knew that was it. I used my magic to lift up rocks and I shot them at him. He blocked them with his big arms. I did it agin, but still he continues blocking all of my attack. Then, I had an idea. I lifted up some of the lava from below me and shot it at him. He was knocked off of his balance and he was stumbling and stomping heavily on the weak piece of rocky land he was standing on. I sent lava flying at him one more time. He screamed in pain, stomping towards the edge of the land platform. He slipped and fell into the lava, never to be seen again. What did I just do? I killed my dad, and I don't feel guilty at all.
"Raven!" I heard someone scream. I turned around and saw Beast Boy in a cage, that started to slowly lower itself even after Trigon's death. This was just like my dream, but he remembered me. The cage was lowering really slowly, as if to torture me as my boyfriend was about to die.
"Hold on, Beast Boy, I'm coming!" I yelled and flew over to him. I fiddled with the lock on his cage. For a second, I gave up so I could summon a piece of land. I moved the land close to the cage, then I summoned a portal about ten feet away from the land. I started back at the lock, trying to break it somehow. I knew that if I could get the lock undid, I would be able to try to save Beast Boy, or at least tell him goodbye. I had gotten the lock loose, but it wasn't completely undid. His cage started to lower a little more, and I started to work faster. I breathed heavily, and quickly tried to break the lock. I pulled down on it really hard and it snapped. I could see another lock growing in the broken one. I quickly ripped that one off and opened the cage door.
"I can still sense Trigon's last rule: somebody has to die." I said. "I'll die for you, Beast Boy."
"No Raven!" He yelled, tears streaming down his face.
"Yes," I said calmly. I was not going to let Beast Boy die, I will definitely risk my life for him. I held the door open with my foot, then I kissed him passionately. I put my arms around his neck and pulled him in closer, then I broke the kiss. "I love you Beast Boy." I said.
"I love you too, Raven." Beast Boy said and hugged me. The cage was lowering faster, so I pointed over to the land and he portal.
"Here, take the necklace you gave me, for the memories." I said and gave it to him.
"I'll never lose it, I love you Raven." He said. I smiled at him.
"The portal will take you back up into your room." I said and quickly peaked his lips. I then, moved the portal up to the land. "I love you, and I will love you forever." I said.
"Me too." Beast Boy said and jumped onto the land as the cage lowered even faster. The cage was now below the land platform. Beast Boy waved at me, a light smile on his face and tears and sadness in his eyes. I waved back as the door shut and the lock grew back on the door. I watched Beast Boy cover his face because he was clearly a mess. Then, he ran into the portal so he wouldn't have to see me die. A few tears fell from my eyes as well. I looked down. I was at the lava. It slowly flooded into the cage and filled up around my feet and around my lower ankles. I winced in pain, and then just like that, I couldn't breath and everything went black as the cage then, fell into the lava.

A/N: I bet you guys weren't expecting that at all. Honestly, I figured I would do that so the whole chapter didn't seem as obvious, and wow this is probably the longest chapter in the book. Keep reading my lovely reader people!
