"Shed those faded memories, this is your curtain call. I've had enough of sympathy, it's time to watch you fall!" ~ God Bless You

*Andy's POV*
I saw her collapse in a heap on the floor as the butt of the gun made contact with the back of her head. I jerked roughly in the hold of the officers and tried to reach her, cursing out a string of profanities, mostly directed at Jacobs. We were in deep shit and I refused to let them use us as examples. We had to get out of here, but I wasn't sure how.
The Oracle was nowhere to be found, which didn't surprise me. She always had a way of disappearing when things started to turn to turn to shit. Maybe that was her nature, but it pissed me off because if she was truly trying to help us, she could at least help out now, when we are about to be drug off to our execution.
Jacobs smirked at us. "You lot have been causing me a whole lot of issues, you know?"
I glared at him and if looks could kill, I'm certain he would've been dead by now. "Pleased to know we have been such a thorn in your side," I growled.
"No more than anyone else. The real problem has been tracking down the Legion. You have been more of an inconvenience. I don't know why no one ever thought to check the house you were registered to again. I guess we all thought you were smarter than that."
"What's the Legion?" Ashley asked from beside me, still struggling in the grip of the officers holding him down.
Jacobs laughed sadistically. "Oh don't play the fool, Mr. Purdy. You know all about the Legion. Why else would your friend here be wearing their symbol?" He shook his head, looking at Ashley. "President Johnson will be very pleased with your capture. Perhaps your death will be enough to subdue the Rebels."
"We aren't a part of the Legion, Jacobs. Our deaths will do nothing," Stephanie spat.
"We will see about that." He opened up a small phone, typing something into it before putting it away and grinning rather evilly down at us. "Now, I'm going to ask you some questions," He said, beginning to pace back and forth in front of us in the living room. "Answer them, and no one gets hurt. Fail to answer them, and you will pay dearly." He turned to me. "Get him on his feet," He said to the officers.
The officers holding me hoisted me to my feet, gripping my arms firmly behind my back. I glared at Jacobs through my dark fringe, still able to see Katrina's motionless body in the corner of my eye. He smirked at me.
"So tell me, why did you kill those innocent people in the market?"
"We didn't kill anyone," I growled. "And you know it."
"Wrong answer."
His fist came at me full swing, nailing me right in the stomach. I heaved and coughed out a choked breath, groaning in pain as the officers continued to hold me upright. Jacobs could pack a nasty punch.
"Try again. Why did you kill those people?"
"I already told you," I snarled in reply. "We didn't kill anyone."
His fist came again, hitting me repeatedly in the stomach to the point where I could hardly breathe. The officers released their hold on me momentarily, allowing me to fall to all fours while I coughed and attempted to catch my breath.
"Get him up," Jacobs hissed. The rough hands of the officers grabbed my arms again and yanked me to my feet. "Why did you kill them?" He half shouted.
