"Got something to live for, I know that I won't surrender.  A warrior of youth.  I'm taking over, a shot to the new world order.  I Am Bulletproof." ~ Bulletproof

*Katrina's POV*

We spent the rest of our day helping LynZ and several other Rebels around the base.

By the time we had gotten out of training, it was around 4 in the afternoon.  LynZ snagged us as Alee and Stephanie went in, asking us to help with check ups and patrol.

So while Jake, Ashley and CC went off with a few Rebels to patrol, Andy, Jinxx, and I followed LynZ, checking up on the different divisions.

There were different divisions of the Legion for almost everything.  There were menial divisions, where the members switched off on the jobs and traded divisions on a regular basis.  These divisions were usually for cooking, cleaning, organizing, things like that.  Patrol was also a tradable division, but you had to be a certain rank.

The ranks were pretty simple. Rank 1 and 2 were where most of the Rebels fell. Rank 1 was for new recruits and any Rebels who were under the age of 18. There weren't many Rank 1s in the Legion beside the younger Rebels because the Legion hadn't been recruiting for several month and most of them had been promoted by now. Rank 2 was the next level, but was where the vast majority of the Rebels lie who had no special training or skills.

Rank 3 was for the more specialized Rebels, the ones with more training and, to a certain extent, more importance. You had to have special meaning to Command to be Rank 3.

Rank 4 was the highest ranking in the Legion and was solely for Rebels apart of the Command unit. The Command unit consisted of the Commander (Clara) as well as representatives from a few Rank 3 Divisions and trusted advisors such as Gerard and LynZ. Unlike most Rebels, we had been automatically promoted to to Rank 4, as well as the Oracle, seeing as the Prophecy declared us as the "rightful" commanders of the Legion.

You could also be demoted from a Rank. This only happened if you demonstrated repeated disobedience. It had only occurred once on record to a group of Rebels who wanted more bloodshed than was healthy for the Legion. These Rebels wanted to riot in LA and were demoted when caught trying to sabotage orders from Clara. They disappeared shortly after their demotion.

The menial task divisions were usually taken by Rank 1 and 2. Patrol was for Rank 3 or higher. The Soldier division was filled with Rank 2 and 3 Rebels, consisting of the people who were proficient fighters and in any major battle, would be on the frontline. All members of the Legion were trained to fight, but the soldiers were more advanced and would be the ones to go on raids and such.

There was also an Intel division, Rank 3, who was involved in keeping tabs on Johnson and the city, a Technology division, Rank 3, which coincides with Intel but was more involved with hacking, and of course the Command unit for Rank 4, which made the major decisions and ran the Legion.

We were just on our way to the mess hall, Andy with his arm around my waist and having a conversation with Jinxx about a subject that I I had tuned out from.  I was now thinking about how tired I was.  It wasn't just from the busy lives we'd been leading the past week at the base.  It was from lack of sleep. I hadn't had a solid night's sleep in months. Every night, I had the same haunting dream. The one of Fear. The one of the death of everyone I hold dear. About a month ago I'd told Andy that the dreams had stopped. He had been getting extremely worried and I didn't want to keep him up late anymore.

The dream had become so normal that I no longer screamed, no matter how terrifying it was. I would wake myself from the dream now, tears staining my cheeks, only to wipe them away again and go back to sleep.
