"You've been running for so long, still breathing, hoping soon to find a song worth singing.  Every chapter of this note they're reading, but you're slowly losing hope on bleeding."  ~ Devil's Choir

*Katrina's POV*

We rose early and headed straight for the Intel HQ, skipping breakfast and still pulling on our jackets as we made our way down the hall.

"I can't wait to see the look on his face when he realizes we've responded," Ashley said excitedly as he joined our forward march on my right, still buckling his pants.

I chuckled. "This is the start of a war. If anything, I think he'll be excited to annihilate our asses."

"Well aren't you just a bundle of optimism," Andy commented with his unsleeved arm around me.

"I'm too exhausted to be optimistic." My mind flashed to the nightmare I'd had before waking up. It had been almost identical to my usual Fear Demon dreams, except that instead of the chilling voice taunting me, it was Johnson, ordering me to kill my friends. I couldn't shake the feeling that it had to do with what we were doing. Maybe I was leading us to our deaths. Maybe this was a bad idea.

I had fallen a bit behind the group now as Jake and Andy began talking about something to do with patrol. It wasn't long before Jinxx had fallen instep with me.

"You're wrong, you know," he said after a moment, speaking softly so the others didn't hear us.

"What?" I asked, wondering what he was referring to.

"This isn't a bad idea, and you're not leading us to our deaths," he replied, his soft blue eyes looking into mine.

"Did... Did I say that out loud?" How had he heard that? I was positive I hadn't said anything.

He nodded. "I don't think the others heard you, but I did. We'll be okay. We need to do this."

"I'm not so sure," I said softly.

"Remember what I told you?  We can protect ourselves and we want to be here.  With you."

I sighed.  "I really need to stop second guessing myself."

He chuckled.  "Yeah, you do."

I still couldn't forget the dream and the foreboding feeling it left me, but Jinxx was right.  We all chose this.

We arrived at the HQ to find it significantly less busy than the day prior, but rather, every computer terminal had a rebel at it, typing away at something.  We made our way to Alexis at the main screen.

"Good morning," she greeted us.  "You arrived just in time.  He's just about to air."

Just as she finished her sentence, one of the rebels at a terminal, a young woman, began to count down from ten.

Andy grabbed my hand as the screen flickered on to a press room of sorts, Johnson standing behind a podium in the same dark robes from yesterday and the symbol around his neck.

I know that symbol.

"Good mo-"

His words were immediately cut off as our promo broke through, showing the Legion in the main hall.  We were silent, staring at the camera, as though we were looking at every citizen under Fear's rule. It then cut out again to Johnson, who now looked rather startled.
