{NOTE 5/10/18: I am continuing to enter this story in Fanfic contests! I'm super excited, but as mentioned in the note below, JUDGES!!!! This story is the cumulative process of over 4 years of writing. When I started writing this, I was 14 and barely understood how to properly formulate a story that wasn't cliche or how to portray emotions. Please keep reading to my more recent chapters where it accurately shows my massive improvement in skill and actually gets to the good stuff of the plot :) I wish the host had accepted my other entries rather than this story since they're more recent and better writing, but oh well. Enjoy the story!}

{NOTE 10/17/17: I recently entered this book in the 2018 BVB Fanfic Awards! I'm super excited, but after some reflection I've decided I'm going to do some minor editing in the beginning chapters, seeing as they were written nearly 4 years ago and my writing wasn't as great as it is now. I don't have time to completely redo and reimagine those chapters and their more or less incredibly cliche plot points, but I will be fixing some of the less than mature writing choices I made when starting the book. Judges, please keep in mind that this book is 4 years in the making as of right now, and my early chapters also represent my earliest writing skills which I have honed to be much better over the years. Don't give up too quickly into the book :3}

Hey guys!!
I want to thank you for looking into my book and reading it! I'm going to try to update it as often as possible.
So, to a point, this story is a Fan Fiction, but it's not like any other fan fiction! The story takes place in a futuristic U.S. where a dictator has begun to take control of everything, including people's minds. Magic is a known entity in the world, but as far as people know, VERY few people are able to control it.

So it's kind of a fantasy world and I promise, if you do not like BVB or have never heard of them, you don't have too to be able to read this book! <3
