I opened my eyes slowly, at first I was frightened to see that I wasn't in my bedroom, but slowly my thoughts came back to me and with a sad sigh I sat up and looked around.
The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't all that much brighter now then it had been last night. Confused, I got up and walked to the window. The sky was alight with the sun, but not by alot, for gray clouds now prevented it from shining out. I looked down at the kingdom, below and softly gasped.
Beneath me, everything had come to life, now the kingdom looked alot like Belle's kingdom, bustling and everyone was going about politely greeting whoever they met.
A soft knock snapped me from my thoughts, sighing softly, I walked over to the door, took ahold of the dragon headed knob, and opened the door.
There, standing just outside the door, was Jafar. I froze, my eyes widening at the same time his did. He stood quietly holding a plate which had two dishes of plain bread with two cups of milk.
"He...hello, Jasmine." Jafar stammered nervously, his hands shook nervously making the silverware rattle against one another. I closed my jaw and smiled sweetly, my eyes sparkling. "Good Morning Jafar," I said sweetly "is that breakfast?" Jafar closed his jaw quickly, and quickly held out the dish nodding. I reached forward and took ahold of the dish, as I did my fingertips grazed softly against his own, his skin soft and silky. We both drew in husky breaths and I quickly let my gaze drift down to the floor.
"Did you sleep well?" He said, his voice soft and compassionate, I nodded a little before walking across the room and placing the dish down on the bedside tale. "Yes." I said shyly, at that moment a thought crossed my mind.
"Jafar? Why were you out in the forest in the first place?" I asked as turned around to face him. Jafar looked at me for a second or two, his fingers nervously drumming on the doorway.
"I was guarding." He said blankly, as if it were no big deal. "Guarding, why?" I said, my eyes widening. "Because it was my night to guard." The way he said it made me wonder if there was something bad about that. "Do you usually guard?" I asked, I began walking to Jafar in small steps so he wouldn't notice. Jafar sighed angrily, a sound that made me stop in my tracks.
"Look Princess," he said, "if this is about why I'm still am a villain, it's because I like being bad. I like it!"
"Really?" I said, curious. "But why do you like following orders?"
He shrugged. "This is who I am." He said absent mindedly
"But you were someone different once, right?" I asked.
He didn't say anything.
"What were you before this?" I said softly. He turned away then.
"Trapped." He said softly, before walking away. I paused momentarily, before running to the door.
"Jafar?" I called out, he turned around. "Thanks for breakfast." I said smiling, he smiled his red eyes glistening. "Your welcome." He said, before walking away.
