Nice Villains?

Aurora and I had been stunned that our lives had been spared before, but now we were even more stunned as we walked through the Dark Realm, everyone was so homely to one another. There were even some moments where I couldn't help smiling. All in all, it was such a wonderful experience.

As we walked into the center of town, Aurora and I saw a large building; it was dark blue with blue lining and had a large red sign over the large black double doors that said 'House of Villains' in a spidery villain like format. I lightly tapped Scar on the shoulder and pointed to it, even before I got one word out, he responded.

"Oh, that?" He said blankly. "That's the House of Villains, like it says, Maleficent had it built a while back. It's almost exactly like the House of Mouse but for villains."

"It's also a very popular spot to hang out." Banzai piped up, his yellow eyes sparkling. "Sometimes, the four of us go there to dance, sing, get a little crazy. It's great fun, you should come sometime." I turned my head slowly to look at the dark blue building and smiled.

"Maybe I will." I said, softly.

At that moment, something bumped at my feet. I  looked down to see a small ball of pink fur. When I bent down to examine it, it uncurled revealing a hedgehog inside.

"Awww! How cute!" I said. Kneeling down, I carefully picked up the little guy by his bottom. I held him carefully examining him. Something about this creature was some what familiar. Before I had a chance to really think it, through, the Queen of Hearts came running over.

"Phew. Oh, good. You finally caught him." She said, completely out of breath. "I really don't know what's gotten into that one, ever since Alice played with him, he and that blasted bird just won't cooperate." As she said this, she jutted her thumb towards a pink flamingo which was perched on a rooftop nearby. I laughed a little, but then stopped once I thought over what she had said.

"Alice used to come here?" I said stunned.

The Queen nodded, her hands now fumbling to smooth down her dress. "All the time," she said, "she used to come with me to this field where I'd teach her croquet, she got pretty good actually. Then when I wanted to ask her to come with me to the House of Villains, she stopped coming."

She lowered her head slowly, her eyes glossy with upcoming tears. "That was over four months ago." She whispered sadly. "I wonder what's taking her." I hesitated, then sighed, slowly I placed the pink fur ball back into her hands. I knew what happened to Alice and although I didn't trust the Queen of Hearts, I knew she cared about Alice.

"She stopped coming because her sister died." I began slowly, my breath quivering "After that she moved in with Daisy and Donald where she's been ever since." When I raised my head to look at the Queen, I saw that she was full out crying now, she wasn't sobbing no, but tears fell like rivers down her face. Although she was a villain, I found it unbearably sad that she was sad. Without thinking, I threw my arms around her in a tight hug.

"Don't worry," I whispered softly, "I promise you'll see her again." The Queen didn't say anything, she just hugged me back.

"Hey Queenie! You gonna continue playing or what?" I raised my head and saw Hades come running across the ground, in one of his hands was a dragon-like bird in the other Pain, one of his demons, curled up into a ball. It was such a funny sight, I had to laugh. Hades was stunned for a second but then he smiled and began dribbling Pain like a basketball, which only made me laugh harder.

"Quit it Hades, you're gonna make the poor girl wet herself." The Queen exclaimed. "Isn't that the point?" Hades said with a shrug, but he stopped anyway. The Queen gave me a friendly slap on the back, a large smile growing on her face. "You're alright," she said "for a Princess." Before racing off with Hades towards a large green field.

Still smiling, I turned to look at my friends. Scar, Shen zi, Banzi, and Ed had their mouths gaping open. "What?" I asked. "That's the first time Queenie has smiled in four months." Shen zi said in an astonished whisper. "Really?" I asked, Shen zi nodded.

"Well enough of that." Scar said sharply. "It's time to get going." And reluctantly we all began walking, but as we walked away, I couldn't help but wonder how I was going to keep my promise to the Queen.
