A few minutes later, Aurora had woken up and now, after asking Frollo for some alone time, we were all sitting on top a large green hill at the other end of the kingdom.

"Esmerelda, where have you been? You went missing three months ago without a trace." I said, my face red as a tomato with anger. Esmerelda didn't say anything at first, she calmly watches me, waiting for me to cool down, when I finally did, she sighed sadly and spoke. "I disappeared, I know. I left without telling anyone even Phoebus. I know you guys are mad at me, and I don't blame you. It's just...well, the reason why I'm here. It's a long story." I softened up a little then and sat down next to her. Aurora smiled and gently hugged Esmerelda. "We've got time." She said compassionately. Esmerelda sighed again, and looked out onto the Midnight Realm. I lay down on my stomach knowing this story was gonna be a good one.

"My misfortunes started out even before I disappeared," Esmerelda began, "Phoebus wasn't behaving the way he usually was. He would leave the hours for hours on end, at first I didn't pay attention, but when this began happing more often, it became an issue. He would cast me off and I would be left alone. As the days passed, his love for me began fading, leaving me all alone. I had been ghost dumped by my own husband. I wasn't until one night when he didn't kiss me when he came home when I realized that he didn't love me anymore. I knew then that this would happen to the other Princes, so I decided to stop it before it started."

"That's what you were trying to warn us about." I whispered, stunned. Esmerelda nodded before continuing.

"Yeah, I tried to warn you guys. But you didn't listen, which made me feel even lonelier. After that, my only friend was Jolly. One night, when Jolly and I were taking a walk. We wandered kinda close to the border. Then Frollo came out. I was frightened at first, but Frollo seemed so sad at the time. I told him I'd stay with him for some time. I've been here ever since."

We all sat in silence, taking in what she said. For a little bit, the only sound there was was the breeze weaving it's way through the grass.

"You've been here so long..." I whispered softly, "are you happy here?" I turned to look at her to see her green eyes sparkling and her smile soft and sweet. "I've never been happier." She whispered. Aurora didn't say anything at first, her eyes cast down to the ground, and one of her fingers nervously twirling one strand of hair. "Esmerelda, what's Maleficent like?" Esmerelda raised an eyebrow. "She's alright, a little intimidating. In my opinion, she just needs a little love that's all. Why?" "Oh, I was just wondering." Aurora said.

"Oh by the way, did you guys hear?" Esmerelda exclaimed suddenly, her eyes lighting up. "The villains are planning a karaoke night at the House of Villains, you guys wanna come?" "No thank you." I said respectfully. Esmerelda shrugged. "Suit yourself, I'll talk to you later." She the leapt to her feat and ran off down the hill where Frollo was waiting for her. Almost as soon as she was gone, Scar and the hyenas came up the hill and escorted us back to the castle.

A bit later in the night, I found myself not all that tired. Sitting up, I looked around the room, and slipped out of bed. I walked over to the window, the curtains exactly where I left them, and looked out onto the Midnight Realm again. It really is quite pretty, I thought to myself, I wish I could stay here. A thought crossed my mind and I walked over to wear my outfit was draped against a chair. Reaching with in the pocket, I smiled as I pulled out TLNFC membership card.

"Lovers not fighters." I whispered softly as I slipped the card into the pocket of my new purple nightgown and walked to the door.
