Chapter 6

I was breathing heavy; the pain was too much to bear. I started going in and out of consciousness and blacked out all together; the sight in front of me was too much to handle.

Earlier that day…

I woke up to pain in my ribs and back. Today was the day everything went down. It was 6:00 and I decided to do my work out. I got dressed in my MMA sports bra, black shorts, and wrestling shoes. This time I would were my gloves.

I tied my hair up as I walked out to the garage to bring my punching bag out. I started punching and kicking the bag with all my strength. I was getting all my anger out that I had inside about what would happen today and also the pain in my upper body made me wince in pain constantly An hour passed when I heard my name being called; I turned to see my grandmother walking towards me

‘Darling what are you doing?’ she asked confused at the garage which held my training crap

‘Just my work out, didn’t dad tell you I fight for a living’ I laughing breathless

‘Well girls like you shouldn’t be doing male sport like this’ she said looking at me in disappointment

‘Whatever, I like to do it and I’m almost unbeatable. They fear me and my name when I’m mentioned.’ I scoffed

‘Just remember your still a women and this is something a boy does’

‘No it’s not it’s a unisex sport. Just go away if you’re going to scoff at something I have passion for’ I said shooing her away with my hand as I continued my exercise.

I kept feeling pain more and more and collapsed behind the house in pain. I started to cry as I tried to calm my breathing to normal.

Jake if you were here you would help me right’ I thought and then I heard running from the trees behind my house. It was Jacob in human form and he looked worried

Jake POV

I was getting dressed back into some jean shorts when I heard a voice

Jake if you were here you would help me right’ It was Kora; she sounded like she was in pain.

I ran as fast as I could until I found her behind her house in her fighting gear, she was doubled over crying. ‘She never cried’ I thought I walked up to her making sure she was alone when I came out of the trees

‘Babe what’s wrong?’ I asked leaning over her

‘I don’t know, it’s just a side ach I’m fine’ she tried convincing me

‘You’re crying Kora you never do that, you tough’ I said sounding worried

‘I don’t have the emotional rang of a tooth pick Jacob. I have feelings what I can’t cry once in awhile’ she snapped at me with furious eyes

‘That’s not what I mean. You’re aloud to cry but you’re in pain’

‘How did you know I was here anyways?’ she said changing the subject quickly

‘I heard you call so I came over here to help you’ I said feeling hurt when she snapped like she did

‘I just needed help getting up that’s all now leave and I’ll see you at the fight’ she said coldly.
