I was only four when my parents first took me to the Kosciusko national park. We had moved near there a few months before. I was an only child so to keep me from not being bored and alone, my parents took me there every second weekend for nine years.
I still go there now to discover more tracks. My friends find me weird because my adventures there are always bought up in conversations- by me. I try not to but I just love to talk about it. I have encountered so much wildlife.

My favourite but most feared was the encountering of a wild brumby herd. The stallion of the mob was locally known as Darkest Night. He was a jet black horse with a horrible temper. I was only eight when I saw him but none the less, he still haunts me at night. Most of what happened was a blur but I do remember him charging at my father until someone attempted to shoot the horse. He didn't get shot and neither did any of the his herd. It scared me but I've always been fascinated by him. I just want to see him again even if I need to risk my life.
