The House that Echos

When Stiles woke up, his dad picked him up. Kaige told us that Stiles demanded his dad take him to Eichen House. I cried that night because of the fear of never seeing my best friend again. 

I was laying down when I started hearing someone quoting something. 'I can swim in the ocean yet still remain dry.' It got louder and louder. Finally, I sensed it; this person was about to die. I went to scream but it was too late. I heard his neck snap and he was finished. As I fell asleep, I felt tears run down my face. 

The next day, we headed to the clinic to talk to Deaton. When we got there, he was on the phone with Argent. "We have two problems; firstly, the Lichen isn't a cure. In a matter of days it could wear off." Deaton said. "Well if it does work they won't have to go after Stiles right?" Argent asked. "I hope. Eichen House has a pretty unusual history. May not be safe for the Oni as well." Deaton said. "What's the second problem?" Argent asked. "I checked with your contacts in Japan. The Yakuza boss that was killed never found the scroll." Deaton said. "What scroll?" I asked. "A Shugendō scroll. They were the ascetic mystics of Japan." Deaton said. "The scroll had the instructions on how to exorcise a Nogitsune." Argent said. "We need to find that scroll." Scott said. "Yes, and I did get a name of the man that last purchased it. Kinkead." Deaton said. "He was with Katashi. He's the one who met with Isaac to buy the gun." Allison said. "Sounds like Katashi wanted the scroll for himself." Deaton said. "Stilinski already told me that nothing like it was found among his things and someone like Katashi would keep it close." Argent said. "What's the Shugendō scroll look like?" Alex asked. Deaton looked through one of his drawers and pulled out a big scroll. "Like this." He said as he handed it to Alex. "Do these come in different sizes?" Allison asked. "Any size." Deaton said. "Then I think I know where it is." She said. 

The next morning came and I headed to Eichen House. I had to see Stiles, make sure that he's okay with my own two eyes. I saw him walking with another guy. "Stiles." I said. He turned around and saw me. He smiled and ran towards me but I backed up. "Stop." I said. "What's wrong?" He asked me. "Stiles, do you remember what happened the other night?" I asked. He shook his head. "Nevermind. How are you? Who's your friend?" I asked. "This is Oliver, my creepy roommate. This is Riley." Stiles said. I didn't feel comfortable around Oliver. He just seemed really creepy. "Riley, there's something in my room for you. Look on my bed. I gotta go." He said as he held his head down. "Stiles, we will get you out of here." I said as I hugged him. I noticed the mark on his back. "I love you kiddo." Stiles said. "I love you too Stiles." I said as I let go and headed to his house. I turned to leave and I saw her; the werecoyote, Malia. 

When I got there, Kaige was there. "Hey Kid. What's up?" He asked as I walked through the door. "I just got back from visiting your brother." I said. He looked at me. "How is he?" He asked. "He told me he left something for me." I said. We headed up to his room. I looked on his bed and sure enough, there was a piece of paper with my name on it. 

'Dear Riley, 

I'm writing you this because I don't know how long I'll be staying at Eichen House. So I'm leaving my Jeep to you. You're almost 16 and you can drive it. I'm trusting you to take care of it. It's the only thing I have left of my mom. I love you Riley.

I felt the keys drop on my foot. "I can't do this, I just can't." I said. Kaige hugged me. "You can. he'd want you to drive it anyway." He said. I nodded and grabbed the keys and headed to the infamous Jeep. 

I pulled up to Allison's place and Scott looked at me. "How'd you get the Jeep?" He asked. "Stiles left it for me." I said as I left them behind. "Why?" Scott asked. "Because Stiles doesn't think he's going to be leaving Eichen House." I said quietly. "My dad said that they're moving all of Katashi's stuff in an armoured car tonight probably in the next few hours." Alex said. "We're going to rob an armoured car?" Aiden asked. "Well, we're going to try." Lydia said. 

We went over the plan numerous times. "This is a bad plan." Scott said. "It's not that bad." Lydia said. "It's not that good either." Eli said. "We don't know the exact route the car is going to take, so if we can get one of your dad's trackers, we can follow it." Lydia said to Allison. "So when it gets here," "we attack them." Aiden interrupted Allison as she pointed at the map. "No, your bikes are going to be there looking like you guys were in an accident." Lydia said. "And when the driver gets out to help," "We attack him." Aiden interrupted Lydia. "No." Allison and Anna said. "You'll distract him." Lydia said. "And one of the McCalls will break open the back door." Alex said. "We hope." Scott, Sam and I said. "And you'll get his finger." Allison said to Ethan. "It's not his actual finger is it?" He asked. "You're so out of this league." Alex mumbled. "Why aren't we going to the sheriff for help?" Ethan asked. "Because he can get in trouble. Tampering with federal evidence." I said. "We can do this guys. We're losing Stiles, my dad and Derek are in jail for murder. We need to do this." Allison said. 

We all headed home until it was time to put our plan in action. 

Scott, Sam and I were headed out the door when Kira and Kieran appeared. "What are you guys doing here?" Scott asked. "We want to help." Kieran said. "I'm not sure that's such a good idea." Sam said. "Because of our mom." Kira said. Scott and Kira were going back and forth. "People who usually help us get hurt, very badly." Scott said. "Okay, but we've been practicing." Kira said as her and Kieran went for their bag. "Practicing what?" I asked. "We've been picking this up really fast." Kieran said. They both drew out a sword and almost cut Scott. "You guys sure about that?" Scott asked. They showed us a few of their moves. "Okay, you're coming." Scott said. 

We got to the place where the armoured car was. "Okay, you're up." Allison said to Kira. "She gave her the tracking device and she ran to the car. Something happened to the driver and Kira hid. "We have to do something." I said. Out of nowhere, the back of the car opened up and this big man came out and attacked the officer. "Who the hell is that?" Scott asked. "Kinkead." Allison said. 

Allison and I shot arrows at him and nothing was working. Kira ran and attacked him, but he threw her into the wall. Scott, Sam and I all ran and attacked him and we weren't getting anywhere. "You three have the eyes of an Alpha, but where's the strength?" He asked. "Right here." Ethan said as Aiden, him and Eli jumped from the roof and attacked him. "Stop." Scott said. They didn't listen to him. "Stop!" I yelled. Ethan and Aiden tried telling us about how we should kill Kinkead. "He's dangerous." Aiden said. "And so are we." Scott said. "We're here to save a life, not end one." I said as Scott found the scroll. 

On the way home I heard something that sounded like growling. 'Let me in.' The voice kept saying. 

We took the scroll to Deaton. "There isn't much here." He said. "Does it say anything?" I asked. "My Japanese isn't the greatest, but it says that one way of expelling a Nogitsune is to change the boy of the host." Deaton said. "Which begs this question; how do we change Stiles' body?" He asked. "By turning him into a werewolf." Scott said. 

I got a text from Ms. Morrell the next day saying that we should be expecting a visitor and that Stiles was missing. Where the hell is Stiles? And who is this visitor?
