Previously on Yu-Gi-Oh! Synergy: Dante and Winona are sealed inside the inner corridor of the temple and are suddenly confronted by two Shadow Hunters, Blake and Asuka. Engaging in a tag team duel, Blake reveals to the Holders that Kiram is the true reason for his and Asuka's deaths. As the duel grows intense, Kiram and Railo arrive at the scene and Kiram is reunited with Blake. Blake immediately shows hostility toward Kiram and vows to get revenge for what he did. Winona tries to reason with Asuka, who is on the verge of finishing Dante off with a direct attack.

With a troubled past, and a heart filled with hatred, Blake stands furiously beside Asuka, instructing her to end the duel by attacking Dante directly. Dante's Life Points are at 1600.

"Come on Asuka! What are you waiting for?" Blake asks.

Kiram, Railo and Wally watch intently.

"Finish him Dark End Dragon, attack him directly!" Asuka commands.

"Dante.." Winona matters.

Wally watches in amusement.

"This duel is just getting heated", Dante remarks. "I play one of my face down cards! My trap Fires of Beyond!"

"Unless that trap card stops the attack, I'm afraid all that will be left of you and your flaming attitude are crisp cinders," Blake retorts.

Railo watches and remembers that Dante used that same Trap Card when they first met.

"What does it do??" Kiram asks.

"It let's me select up to two of my banished fire monsters and return them to my graveyard. And then I get to draw a new card from my deck", Dante responds.

"That trap card was waste of effort, it won't change the inevitable", says Asuka.

"You Shadow Hunters really do get ahead of yourselves", Dante continues. "I play my next face down. It's a little trap called Mystic Performance! With this card I can banish Fire monsters with the same level from my graveyard to perform an Xyz Summon of a monster whose rank matches the levels of those two monsters. Then I can attach Mystic Performance to that monster as an overlay unit."

Wally, Blake and Asuka are surprised by Dante's trap card effect.

"No way! An Xyz Summon during my turn?" Asuka asks in disbelief.

"I banish level four Mystical Beast Flame Eagle and level four Mystical Beast Flame Elephant from my graveyard! With Mystic Performance I build the overlay network! I xyz summon Mystical Beast Tamer Ranmarg!" (Rank 4 2000ATK/1800DEF)

' He Xyz Summoned during the opponent's turn' Wally thinks to himself.

"I'd call that trap card a ridiculous performance", Blake comments. "What's so mystical about summoning an xyz monster that can easily be pulverized?"

"I'd call it a coincidence that you'd bring up the word pulverize", Dante responds. "Because that's exactly what's about to happen to your life points. When Ranmarg is xyz summoned, my opponent takes five hundred points of damage for every Mystical Beast monster on the field!"

Blake grunts.

Mystical Beast Tamer Ranmarg produces a fire ball at the tip of its staff and hurls it toward Blake.

Blake's Life Points drop to 1500.

"Dante was able to xyz summon and inflict damage during the opponent's turn. Niice", Railo comments.
